Fall 2024: We recently upgraded our pool safety cover from a mesh cover to the WaterWarden Inground Pool Solid Safety Cover with drain. The mesh cover, while more expensive, served us well for over 25 years in Iowa's harsh winters. Despite being significantly less costly, the WaterWarden cover seems promising, and we're hopeful it will provide similar longevity. DIY Installation: While the installation wasn't a walk in the park, it was definitely doable for anyone with basic DIY skills and the right tools. The instructions were clear and concise, and we found helpful videos online that guided us through the process. Pro tip: Take your time with measurements. Accurate measurements saved us time and effort, especially when it came to drilling the anchor holes. Compatibility with Old Anchors: It's worth noting that the anchor holes from our previous cover didn't line up with the straps for this cover. While some reviewers have reported success with using their old anchor holes, we found it necessary to drill new ones. Initial Impressions: Although it's still early days, we're pleased with the quality and functionality of the WaterWarden cover. It seems sturdy and provides excellent protection for our pool. We'll continue to monitor its performance over time and update this review accordingly. Overall, the WaterWarden Inground Pool Solid Safety Cover is a great value for the price. Its durability and ease of installation make it a worthwhile investment for pool owners seeking a reliable and affordable safety cover solution. Spring 2025 Update: The cover performed well over the first winter. Since it was heavier than our previous mesh cover it seemed to let less debris into the pool when winds were strong. I think our strategy of not over tightening the straps so that the springs would not bend so much with the weight of snow was a good one as all springs still look good. We found no damage to the cover and it looks about as good as it did when we put it on in the fall. We are hopeful that it will last for many years.

This is an excellent safety pool cover and the price is a huge bonus. My previous safety cover lasted 14 years. This cover is similar in weight and quality. I was able to use the existing anchors so I did not use the brass anchors that came with this cover, but they were of good quality. This cover allows the water to drain through while keeping my pool clear of dirt and debris. I would definitely recommend this seller and pool safety cover.

Waited 3 years to write review. Purchased Oct.2022. Has held up well for over 3 years. Cover is on from October to April, stored indoors May to September. Easy to remove, about 30 minutes to install each fall. I use wd40 on the bolts twice per year or they will bind. Overall pleased with how this has held up for the price paid. Dog and children have walked across it no problem. Initial install of drilling holes in concrete took 3 hours and 4 masonry bits. This type cover is better for seasonal on/off use, not daily use.

I purchased this cover a year and a half ago and it seemed well made. During this winter - the second one for the cover - holes started to form. I contacted the warranty manager and she immediately said this was damage and not a defect and she refused to honor the warranty. This cover is in a fenced off area not used by anyone and has no overhanging trees. There is nothing that could have contacted the cover and as you can see in the photos the 2 sets of 3 holes run in a perfect line along the length of the cover. In the last correspondence the warranty manager refused to acknowledge any potential defect and stated that it looked like squirrel damage. Really disappointed and angered by this experience. If there is no warranty then just state that and allow consumers to knowingly take a gamble. Please avoid this company.

This was bought as a replacement for a Coverlon mesh cover which came with the pool when I got the home in 21. The existing cover gave it's last horrah this past season when it broke at multiple seams. As for the Waterwarden cover, build quality maybe the same at a fraction of the price. Fortunately the floor anchors lined up perfectly. Cover is in place for the 25-26 winter season. Let's see how it holds up

Best purchase we’ve made in regards to safety! We have had this pool cover for 6 years and it is still holding up just like the first day we got it. It is so strong and durable! The material is thick and has withstood our dogs running across it when they get the zoomies, my husband walks across it each year to test it to make sure our kids, pets and neighbors are safe, and we it has held up in storage well during the summer months. The size was perfect for our pool and was fairly easy to install and drill the holes around the pool. Considering how long we have had it, I’d definitely say it is well worth the money!

Greatly quality and easy to install. Although didnt have the same spacing as our previous cover to had to drill new holes.

Works so much better than the solid cover we had. It's very light to take off and store. Our 100 lb Golden Retriever walks across it and unfortunately lays down on it in the water. Our problem, not the covers fault

The product is a good product. We did have to purchase a new drill bit to match the size of the brass clips. We wish we could have thought to get a longer product that would have covered our stairs into the pool. We just measured the pool and purchased the cover to match.

Hard to find size so I was thankful that it was available. Easy to install
