Value for money, Don't upgrade RAM more than 8GB.
Well for 29k this is an awesome laptop, but there are these things that you need to keep in mind before buying. * It Doesn't have Backlit keyboard (Not a deal breaker I know). * It Looks way thicker than it looks in the images. * These AMD Ryzen processors work better when operated in dual channel mode, 4GB RAM is soldered, Another one is removable, But if you do that you will end up getting performance bottlenecks, Better not to upgrade the RAM. * Battery performance is not impressive, bellow average I would say. * I opened the laptop to see the internals, and thermals and hinge mechanism didn't look promising. * Even though its a Full HD panel the quality is Meh, Colors look washed out, and viewing angle is also bad. * I tried installing Linux Mint Sylvia, there were some serious driver issues, cinnamon was running only software render mode. * USB slots and power port are very tight, it makes weird noise while plugging in, Outer shell of my USB dongle got stuck in the USB Port. * It comes with bloatware like MacAfee antivirus, I formatted everything and installed a fresh copy of windows, As I use docker and all, I bought a copy of Windows 10 Pro. Some things I like about the laptop are, * There is almost zero keyboard flex, My way more expensive ThinkPad that I use at work is way worse keyboard flex. * keyboard is surprisingly good, I was getting decent typing speed with it. * Charger is small. Consider the fact that I bought this for only 29k, these complaints are negligible. The outer package was broken when I received, and shipping took forever.

Best compact and powerful Laptop in 30k
A Very Good Laptop at a price of 31k. Pros Laptop is Lightweight and the charger as well. SSD makes everything faster. Attachments to install the HDD available in the box. Decent battery life 4-5 Hrs in normal use. Boot time is around 10s if full shutdown. 5s if hibernation is activated Cons Camera is bad but it anyway doesnt matter much. Screen is Good but doesn't look that crisp due to anti-reflective display. **Major disappointment for me was the keyboard The keys are not that visible as prints on them is not in black but grey, at the same time it's not a backlit keyboard. Giving 4 stars because of the keyboard.

Awesome laptop.
Awesome value for money. Bought it at 29,990/- boot time of 5 secs, shutdown time of 2 sec. Responsive finger print sensor... very fast. Screen quality could have been better, having used an XPS before one can tell the difference. But hey price is a major factor too Keyboard is a dream could have come with backlight. Sound quality is just ok. The ethernet slot is not there. Had to spend an additional 1000/- for the adaptor. I added a 1 tb hdd for 4 k. The laptop comes with a kit to add the hdd.

Decent laptop, low battery backup
This was the only laptop i could find at the time of purchase which had Ryzen 5, 8 gb ram and NVMe SSD and thats exactly what i was looking for. Pros: ryzen 5 is better than if not equal to core i5 in terms of performance and at the same time it is priced similar to core i3 10th gen which is no where near to ryzen 5s performance. 8 gb ram is a must. Infact I've seen laptops with 4gb ram struggle to run Windows 10 smoothly. Build quality is decent. Nothing fancy. Its good for a 35k laptop Speaker quality is also good at this price point. Although it could have been better. Fingerprint reader is snappy and very convenient to log in. Cons : Battery : on paper it said upto 6 hrs of aveg battery life. The only way to get anything close to 6 hrs is if you turn on the laptop and then dont touch it. The ๐ time in status bar shows 8 hrs remaining The moment you do simple tasks like word docs, browsing internet..the battery time comes down to 2 hrs. And thats the actual backup I got. 2 hrs!! Webcam : i have no words to describe how bad the webcam is. It says that its VGA but I've used phones with VGA cams back in the day and they weren't this bad. In normal room light, you wont recognize yourself. Its good if theres a light source directly in front of your face. No Microsoft office, but i already knew that before purchasing. Overall it is a decent laptop and the only major setback is batter backup for me. I got it for 33k after cashback offers If you can live with a 2-3 hrs battery backup then I'd definitely recommend this over an intel core i3 laptop which is more.or less the same price.

Under 40K? Here is the dominator!
This laptop is amazing for its price! I bought it for 36k without any offer! Pros - 1. Very Lightweight and Portable! 2. Built is plastic but the quality is very good! Doesn't feels fragile at all! 3. Asus Sonicmaster for Speakers! The volume is good and bass is felt in every song! The category speakers shine out in is Mids! Mids are very punchy and audio is clear and loud enough for a non gaming small laptop! Audio is best out there in this price range! Dell and hp can't even be compared this laptop dominates in audio department! Comes with stereo dual speakers and positioning is best! And it has got the dedicated app for Equalizer, echo speaker, Dolby trusurround, Dolby dts! 4. Performance is a big hit here! Ryzen 5 3500U just slams the I3 10th gen to dust, and is somewhat faster than I5 10th gen.! And talk about graphics, it's a no brainer, even i7's integrated graphics are weaker then Vega 8 this ryzen 5 has! Can handle Hitman 2 2018 in 720p HD mode and low settings in 47fps and it's a resource hungry game, very damanding! I also tried apex legends 720p HD low gives 53fps, COD Warzone 720p HD Low gives 41fps, GTA 5 720p HD Low - 55fps! Being an integrated graphics it's a beast and best amoung i5's and i7's Integrated graphics! A smart move by AMD, they have integrated your RAM to Vega 8, Providing it 2GB of your Ram and GFX has become a beast! Well done AMD! 5. Display is good when viewed from straight angles and bezels are very thin! Look is very elegant! 6. Battery charging Speed is decent! Charged it from 0-100% in 1 hour and 24 minutes! 7. Keyboard is very precise and soft touch keys are there! Cons - 1. Viewing angles are bad! Colors wash out when u change the angle, but can't complain as it's a sub 40k ranged laptop with ryzen 5, but da little improvement is needed here! 2. Battery degrades faster than it should, it's a trait AMD is known for there is no surprise in that! AMD are like Exynos of smartphone world, but much more powerful than Qualcomm(Intel). Only 4 hours backup time, for this capacity battery i3 provides 6 hours and i5 gives 5 hours easily in normal usage! AMD is the reason! But not a complain again.. Ryzen 5 is one hell of a powerful processor! 3. Another downside of AMD, heating issues, in this laptop it's very much controlled though! When I played GTA 5 it tends to heat alot! Keep it on desk or a table and u are good! Fan speed is a little slow for processor this powerful! But then again i3 and i5's integrated graphics can't even run GTA 5 above 20-25fps which isn't playable! Still not a reason to complain here! But asus should have known that AMDs are sceptical to overheat and should have provided 2 fans or atleast speed should be more for 1 fan! 4. If we have to add hdd and ram, we have to open whole cover, and 7 screws, my other laptop has just 1 screw for ram partition and 2 for hdd partition! Should have been easy to add ram and hdd! 5. As Vega 8 have been provided 2gb of memory to make it much more powerful, usable RAM is 6gb as 2gb is reserved for Graphics! But then again, it's a good thing for casual gamers, as it can run any game u throw at it due to this smart move by AMD! 6. No ethernet port! RJ-45 missing! 7. Camera is not that good, only 0.3MP, but is decent for video calls and online classes! Just struggles at low light but considering the price it's still decent! 8. No backlit keyboard! Verdict - A must buy under 40k, very powerful and good for casual and light gaming too! Some Trade are there, but those not a deal breaker at all! Very powerful, but not very efficient! U buy a much low powered and slow but efficient i3 or i5 which can give u much better battery life, or u buy a Ryzen 5 which is alot more powerful than i3 and equal or even better than i5 if u consider those graphics, a more future proof processor ryzen 5, but compromises on battery efficiency! As they say, POWER COMES AT A COST!

I loved it! (2021 updated review)!
Fingerprint works superb! Display is above average Boot time to open 6sec Close 3sec Light weight Easy to carry small size Ryzen 5 My use - web design, coding, digital marketing, and basic college projects few games too Battery 2 to 4 hours Asus support Sdd so speed๐ฅ 8gb ram OK for me McAfee antivirus 1M free 31k for ryzen 5 n slim product is lit Bluetooth n wifi present Backlight not present Pressed power instead of delete Keyboard color No extra num. Pad Touch pad designโน๏ธ Need to add storage!! My main goal.: To earn from this laptop n pay Emi -- this will tell the worth Hope it works good Feb 20, 2021 update... Working fine Battery backup still same Continuous updates coming I Use extern camera since vga is useless Even when I overload, minimal voice comes I usually open 20 tabs at a time but it runs smooth. NOT FOR GAMING - tried COD but couldn't run, so deleted. Screen quality is decent as per price Will update further. Updated 2024 December Still working fine but battery issue, easily discharge in around 2 to max 3 hours, not useful for gaming, storage is less but manageable, screen ports touch everything is fine as of now. It will complete 5 years in 2 months but still quality is like new only ๐ฏ. I am thankful to my parents who bought me this during my college days. I am earning now and can buy 1 such laptop each month but Asus means quality, easily i can see next 5 more years.

Bang for Price!!!
Okay reviewing this after a month with intense use. Pros Processor- Handles any cpu intensive task easily ,throw any game it will handle it like a pro tried GTA, PUBG Lite, Call Of Duty Warzone and more it gave constant 40-50 fps (except COD) Infact pubg went all the way over 80-90 fps on low settings Design- Sleek Premium Looking Body , extremely portable and light weight Speed - Thanks to Nvme m.2 fingerprint startup is super fast even the charging is super fast Cons Coming to the cons Keyboard is not visible i would suggest to go for the black version Screen- Viewing angles are a huge letdown person sitting besides you will hardly see anything Camera- As mentioned by others the camera performance is extremely poor if you're looking this for lot's of video calling avoid or go for external camera Overall if you're looking for a budget buy with occasional gaming or graphic intensive work go for it you won't regret About the availability i myself checked for over a week before it was available so keep checking it comes in stock for around 30mins only keep an eye The asuspromo is a huge task as the customer service is extremely poor and irresponsive they won't answer your calls or emails for me help through my asus chat worked would suggest the same...!
