If you're ever able to get your hand on one of these, DO IT. These are good, barebones notebooks with decent quality paper, and a nice sturdy cover. Good for just about any activity you need to record, they will hold up through a lot. Highly recommended!

Great product

Puchased two of these a short time ago, and they are in full use for permanant storage of essential notes. The size is perfect for stuffing into backpacks, attache' cases, etc, and if you're not fussy about not having beige paper or an elastic band to hold the book closed, it could give the Moleskine a run for its money as a great place to keep a journal. Note that the first ruled page and the last ruled page of these books are "binding pages" Their inside edges are glued to the heavier pages attached to the hard cover. DO NOT try to peel this page away from the heavier paper or you'll seperate the book from it's cover. (Just so you know, Moleskines are constructed the exact same way.) I'm definitely planning to buy more as I need them. This is a great, general purpose notebook that will take a beating and come back for more. Good quality, narrow 1/4" ruled pages. Ideal for any kind of record keeping.

These are a great alternative to bougie journals. I love Rhodia and Leuchterm journals, but as an everyday field journal, these rock at 1/3 the price. Paper quality is low, probably not ideal for my fountain pens as it bleeds and bleeds through. But I love the minimalist aesthetic and the rugged cloth cover. Great in my backpack to take with me. And I love sitting down in a meeting in a fancy room with a journal that states “Federal Supply Service” on the cover!

I love these notebooks. I still have two of my originals from when I was in the Marines 40 years ago. These are not exactly the same but then after 40 years you have to figure they’re going to change. I’m just happy I could get them. The only real difference between these and my 40 year old USMC issued is that the originals had cloth covers and these are more like a bounded type material. Still great books. The corners were kinda dinged up but for use in the field they’re going to get that way anyway so nothing big to worry about. If your military and used and or miss using these, get yourself some.

My 5 years spent as an Infantry Line Company Corpsman with the Marines are some of the best years of my life. This log book brings me right back to platoon and company meetings, hip pocket lectures and time spent in the field. They are the real deal. For you 1st Civ Div guys and gal out there, this is a robust, beefy notebook that will stand up to tons of abuse. This is one of the few things the government actually got right. Semper Fi. Anyone in the military (specifically in the Marine Corps) knows how "lightning fast" supply is at getting us our requested products, therefore, as a Marine stationed in Havana, Cuba, you can only imagine how the idea of getting a re-supply shipment of anything is damn near in possible. As a result, I found myself looking for places online where I could easily get the things we utilize on a daily basis for my Marines without the hassle of trying to climb the endless supply chain when I stumbled upon this little guy. As a member of Amazon prime, this item shipped and was waiting in FL for our Marines who went to FAMFIRE within 2 days (Try asking that out of today's LCpl). The notebook itself is identical to our green monsters and I couldn't have asked for anything more (except for maybe the chevrons and optional Moto quote already stenciled on. . .). Definitely would recommend for any commander or Motivator who doesn't mind forking over a dollar or two out of their own pocket. Hope this helps!!

I have had one of these books for as long as I can remember. From here to the Middle East I have packed one around. They are very rugged and perfect size to carry around with you.
