Does the blade have a single or double bevel?

Aside: A single bevel is what you want. However, IDEALLY, there should be both a right hand and left hand version with the bevel on opposite sides of the blade!

What side is the bevel on?

It’s on the same side as the thumbnail slot so if you hold it in your right hand the bevel is facing you.

What sharoing stone do you recomend?

Any quality hard stone will do. I like a combo of Japanese water stones, a ceramic stick, and a piece of leather flesh side down (around a 12"x 2'' strip should suffice) glued to a wood board with white rouge compound rubbed into it. Make sure when you strop, you keep the blade bevel against the leather at a fixed angle... do not change the angle of the blade, or you'll round off your edge. I can't stress that enough! You can strop the flat side too, but dead flat without lifting the blade at all. This type of polishing will give you a razor sharp blade if done correctly. Strop after each use and you'll be able to shave with it! Hope this helps!

Is the back bevel sharp? Would it damage the inside of your pocket while carrying?
