Felavid L/L is a bite-sized and highly palatable chicken liver flavored chew treat for cats. It is the ideal supplement for cats that sometimes suffer from respiratory symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, goopy eyes, or conjunctivitis. Up to eighty percent of cats exposed to the feline herpesvirus type-1 (FHV-1) will become lifelong carriers. L-Lysine is an amino acid that supports the ideal health of your cat, including healthy tissue, respiratory wellness and ocular health. Daily supplementation with l-lysine has been shown to reduce the severity and duration of this viral infection. Designed to support immune system function, Felavid L/L also supports antibody and lymphocyte production and tissue repair. Lysine is known to compete with L-arginine, another amino acid that is required by the herpes virus for replication. L-Lysine supports hormone and enzyme production, as well as collagen formation, tissue repair and antioxidant activity. Each tremendously tasty chewable treat provides 250 mg of lysine to maintain your feline companion's optimum health. Compare this to other similar products, with which your cat will need to consume a much larger number of treats in order to get the same amount of valuable l-lysine. Felavid L/L is a fun and convenient way to give supplemental L-Lysine to cats. Made in the U.S.A. Review: They Work! - My cat just got diagnosed with feline herpes and he has been struggling with the worst puffy red eye for over a week now. The vet gave us some artificial tears ointment for his eyes, which gave him temporary relief, but would only last an hour or so. My cat loves these treats! He gobbles them up, and the next day after taking 2 a day his eye already looked better. It is now day 3 and his eye looks completely normal! Very happy with this product, and when I run out, I will 100% buy again Review: Cats say "Delicious!" - All three cats gobbled these up; they must taste good! They are about 1/2 inch long pieces in the shape of a fish. Soft chews. I broke each one into three small bites for the cat. I rescued a cat two years ago; he was 1 yr old with bad case of respiratory herpes. Lysine powder Rx cleared it right up. Now, I the herpes is reactivated because his eye is weeping and he's dragging a bit, so I'm giving him treatment dose and the other two cats preventative treatment. I'm very happy they ate these. I've tried other brands with little success. Thank you!

Picky cat won't touch them
I like the quality of this product, and they seem to be ideal in terms of size and treat consistency; however, my cat wouldn't eat them. To be fair - she's extremely picky, and has turned down all other Lysine treats as well - so I didn't have high hopes that she'd eat these. I did try breaking it into pieces, and hiding in her kibble - but since the texture was chewier, she'd notice when she got a bite with a piece of this treat - and would spit out the mangled bit of treat. I passed these on to my mom's cats - will update if she has more success. I gave this 3 stars for the quality of the product, but since it didn't get into the cat - I can't rate it for effectiveness.

Nice looking product, but the cat won't eat them.
Cat won't eat them. I'm somewhat conflicted in my review, as my cat's decision making has some part to play here. However, the reality is my cat won't eat these at all. I've given them to her as stand-alone treats (outside her bowl), treats in the bowl, and treats in the bowl with her regular food. The most interest she's shown was to lick them once or twice and then nothing. I even left a few of these in the bowl by themselves, and tried delaying feeding to see if she'd try them - no dice. They are a bit large, much larger than the pieces of her regular catfood. Thinking that may be a problem, I tried cutting these in half, and then trying several methods of presenting to the cat. Unfortunately, she's still eating around these and won't eat them. I'll keep trying with fresh pieces throughout the week, as it may just take longer for the cat to try them; but, so far, these are a total waste of my money. *Update* I gave up trying to get my cat to eat them. Gave the (almost full) package to my mother in law, who has two older cats that could use an immune system boost. They did eat them - for 2 days, then apparently decided not to anymore. Now they won't eat them either. My guess is that felines don't like something about the taste or texture, 'cause they won't eat 'em.

Picky Cat Did Like These! Feline Herpes
Well I can see this product has mixed reviews and really it seems because some kitties just donโt find it appetizing. Nothing wrong with the product itself. My picky 8 yr old female cat has turned many L Lysine products down and now that she has contracted feline herpes from my new male kitten (I had no idea FHV existed until it was too late and he was already in my home) I had to keep trying products to treat her until I found something she would eat. She recently had a flare up with her eyes and through ointment from the vet and these treats, she seems to be much better. I will soon quit the ointment and pray she continues to eat these treats. The fact that L Lysine exists and that it can be sooo helpful for cats is such a blessing to have. I wish this upon no cat owner, as I learned this on my own though many many months of medical bills and an emotional rollercoaster, products like these are honestly the best way to treat your cat(s) without having to go into the vet clinic. I recommend this product because my picky cat has turned down 4/5 other high rated products and she loves these.

Worked Wonders!
I adopted my kitty Buster from a shelter and as a kitten he had a little kitty cold. It cleared up, but several years later one of his eyes became a little weepy. I took him to the vet, who told me that the feline herpes virus that gave him a cold as a kitten could sometimes reappear during times Buster's immune system was compromised. The vet assured me the tears were harmless, but that because Buster would never be rid of the virus the teary eyes would come and go. I thought there wasn't much I could do about it, besides giving him cleanings with a cotton ball. Then, after doing some research, I found these treats! I read the positive reviews and thought, "why not?" After taking 2 chews a day for a week Buster's tears completely cleared up. Had I known it was this easy to fix, I would have started ages ago. I've since ordered a bunch of bags to stock up. Thanks for the great product, my cat and I are very satisfied.

Kitten comes running
I cannot speak to how much these help our kitten's health, but I can say that she absolutely loves the treats. We introduced The Morrigan to these treats after a diagnosis of FELV. We had to give her oral antibiotics every day, morning and night for two weeks. The first order of treats was rushed to the house and we started treating her after each dose. After a few days, instead of running from us when it was time to medicate her, she'd happily run to the bed and wait for her meds just so she could get a treat afterwards. The Morrigan only has, at most, a few years with us. FELV isn't kind. But hopefully these treats, and regular vet visits, help her get the most out of her time with us.

Saved my cat...
I believe this product has saved my cat... 4 months ago Otis was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia. He was just over a year old when things went down hill fast... Gave him the best possible food, greater amounts of TLC, stopped the over-prescribed meds and antibiotics and was preparing to accept his fate. After reading some info on the web, 2 months ago, I began giving him the L-Lysine and the results began to manifest slowly but consistently... Today he is like a kitten again...! I'm sure it was a whole healing approach that needed to occur, however, I am convinced that the L-L was a powerful turning point in his condition. For those who have trouble with getting their cats to eat this, break into pieces and give with moist food or smush soft treats, they do like, around the pieces...
