Osborn 54036 Plater's Fine Solid Wood Block Wire Scratch Brush

This is a good quality brush, but it is not the brush shown in the image on this page. I specifically bought this brush because the picture shows the bristles with a straight flat surface. In reality the bristles and the wooden backing to which they are attached are curved such that less than half of the brush will make contact with a flat surface at any given angle. That's probably not an issue for most applications but it won't work for my intended purpose.

Trusted the blacksmithing review and tried this out for giving golden patina on smithing projects! Works amazingly and is great quality. Got a couple as gifts for my blacksmithing buddies and they had positive reviews for it. It is hard to find authentic brass brushes these days. I searched for a while to find this one. I appreciate that it has a lot of surface area. That helps when doing the patina.

Bought this brush for my son who not only works on his families 3 cars but others in the neighborhood. It's proven to be perfect in all of it's uses, from around the battery connections, to underneath the cars exhaust etc.

This is a beautifully made soft brass brush that is substantial yet well balanced, and a pleasure to use. A real bargain at this price. I use it to burnish my handmade silver and copper jewelry. Highly recommended.

I have to give this 5 stars as it is a really nice brush. But it was far larger than I expected, so check the size, but for a workbench and getting rust off of things, this would work excellent, so I gave to my husband and he loves it!

Its huge like super big, (2 feet)i wish the dimensions would have been noted in the title or shown clearly in the product description. Overall it seems good quality but to polish my rings its too big

well made, didn't stain the wood I was liming. Don't know how it would compare to the Liberon liming brish cuz it was going to take two weeks to get that one, so I substituted this and it seems to have worked very well.

100% real brass bristles. Most of the brushes that call themselves brass brushes are really steel bristles plated with brass. This is the real thing and absolutely what I needed for putting a real brass patina on my blacksmithing projects.
