Xcover Low Profile Hard Folding Truck Bed Tonneau Cover, Compatible with 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 5.8 Ft Bed

I put this cover on my 2023 sierra short bed. It's been on the truck for about 4,000 miles now. It took me almost 2 hours to install. It's not difficult to install. The directions aren't great and the parts (left right front back) weren't marked. After I put it on I told my wife it would be a miracle if it didn't leak. It hasn't leaked yet and its been through plenty of rain. It's super low profile and the center pull line makes it easy to open and close securely. Nothing like my previous cover where I was always trying to get the plastic levers to lock or unlock without breaking them. I don't know what the weight limit is but it's definitely a heavy duty top.

I installed in less than an hour and all by myself. The instructions were a little difficult to follow. I'm hoping the pictures I included will help others. I used a rubber mallet to get the drain tube into the end of the rail. When installing the clamp at the front, I put the clamp between the front end and the clamp that holds the cover to the rail. Before tightening the bolt that holds the cover to the frame, I aligned the cover so that it was square on the bed. Don't move the cover until you have tightened the bolts. It also works with my assist bar. The multi-pro tailgate does not go down automatically because I have the cover tight against the top. So I just give the tailgate a little tug and it opens. The sides are very secure, but the latch release in the back can easily be opened if you have something flat that can slip between the tailgate and cover and be used to pull the cable. Update on this cover. After a few months, the hard rubber blocks that stick to the bottom of the cover (used when folding the cover up to keep it in the right position and from scratching) will not stay on. I think the summer heat softened the double stick tape. Also the rubber strip that is on each side rail has also come loose, the double stick tape again lost its stick. On a good note, it has not leaked yet.

Installation was straight forward, take your time and definitely recommend have 2 people. The only issue I had was right at the end 1 of the holes wasn't drilled properly, but we where able to persuade it to set flush. Overall I'm very pleased with it, ordered for a 2025 GMC SIERRA 1500 AT4

This tonneau cover is great so far. I’ve had it installed on my 2020 Sierra SLT for a few weeks, and I am very satisfied with the purchase, especially for the price. On the positive side, it fits very tight and secure. While it’s not as low-profile as other low-profile covers (it sits slightly above the edge of the box), it still looks very good and serves its purpose. It can also be removed fairly easily if needed. On the negative side, the instructions are very difficult to follow. It’s very unclear “what goes where”, but once you figure it out, it’s a fairly simple install. Also, it’s not 100% water tight. I get a bit of leakage into the bed around the corners, but nothing too bad. Helpful tip: make sure you position the tonneau cover in the right position for optimal function. I’ve seen some reviews saying the cover won’t allow the auto tailgate to open, or you can’t lock it into position with the tailgate closed. As long as you position the cover closer to the bulkhead and don’t cover half of the tailgate door, neither of these functions will be effected.

Accidents happen. No problem! I ordered the XCover and was extremely excited to get it in. Plan was to install it immediately. Opened the box and the first visible panel had a deep and concentrated dent in it. There was no need to pull it out because it was going back regardless. The Amazon return is simple. However, there is ZERO customer service from XCover. And by ZERO, I mean ZERO. I went to their website to reach out and see what could be done. At the very bottom of their website is an email. It’s the only means of communication listed. And it doesn’t work. I tried it three times. Returned to my inbox each time. Maybe their covers are worth it. Just understand that you are at the mercy of so many factors for it to work out. I can’t speak to the quality because I literally didn’t pull it out. I can speak to the train wreck of service they have. That’s not fair. A train wreck would imply that they put some effort into something and it went bad. That’s not the case. It’s ZERO. But feel free. Roll the dice. I crapped out. You do you. A shout out to Amazon who protects customers. Unfortunately it allows companies like XCover to do the things they do. Wait… once again. Not fair. They didn’t do anything. ZERO. So referring back to the title of this review… don’t be me. Hard pass on XCover.

Works as advertised. Installed myself, great product. Recommended to a friend and I installed his on his truck for him. Love the low profile.

12-4-25 Update: Reached out to Xcover regarding below issue, they were really fast at replying, asked for photos for verification of issue, I lagged due to the holidays, when I was able to send in the photos they replied right away, asking for contact number and shipping address then went ahead and shipped replacement thru Amazon, and I had it at my door step in a few days. This was by far the fastest and easiest company to deal with regarding warranty issue. I will definitely recommend them. Thank you Xcover! Update: Fast forward 9 months and the panels are starting to separate and create a bubble. Great fit, looks great, not completely watertight, leaks a little in the corners.
