Remington Ionic Conditioning Hot Rollers, 20-Piece Hair Roller Set

These are legitimately old-school rollers. These ARE your grandma's tried and true set. 👍 I am terrible at doing my hair... I wash it, toss in mousse and sometimes just tussle it with my hands until dry or occasionally ill use a defused but I am not the 'stand here and do this until I look on point, on fleek, on live..' whatever. I infact go days without anything being done to my hair because it's usually a bun on my head. I washed my hair and added some light weight styling products and waited until it was about 90% dry and I begun rolling... Of course the new dog goes nuts, scares the cat and the cat sets the entire set cascading across my vanity and floor, GREAT START. I was upset thinking the heat was gone in them I'd have to wait another half hour for them to heat... Nope. Just put then back in and about 2 min later they were hot again. Once the UNIT is hot you're good to toss them back in for like a min and they can roll. So I stumbled and parted my hair like a 6 year old child, I used to much hair in some and wrapped a small tiny few hairs on a roller.. Basically.. I looked like boo boo the fool trying to get my thin tiny bit of hair wrapped up but I did it. I promise PROMISE PROMISE.. if I can wrap these in my hair, you can too. The pins DO WORK if you insert them correctly (there are videos of how to do that but honestly the trick is making sure the FLAT side or non curved side of the pin is the side you slide against your scalp and USE THE RIGHT COLOR PIN (some of yall used the big fuscia roller pins for the small white rollers talking bout the pins don't work- speaking of boo boo the fool, use the pin right and it WORKS ladies, stop acting like user error is the reason something isn't working). Like I said look at how flat my hair normally is and the amount of crazy volume and bounced curls I got from a 45 min setting. I just threw my bonnet over the set and vacuumed the house then did my makeup and by the time I was done they were ready to come out. It took about 15 minutes to roll my hair once I got the pin down. Another tip for the pins.. if when you put the pin on the roller and the roller doesn't stay (drops down or starts to sag) FLIP THE PIN And use the flat side to lay adjacent to your scalp as you push the roller firmly into the pin the flat slide is what keeps it tight to your head. There... that is all I know and the extent of my curling knowledge now lays with you. Hence you shall go forth on your curling experience and get the result I did or you might want to check a few videos (I did, I won't lie, this was my first time putting rollers in and I never knew how to do it properly, still don't but I know how to do it and get it done now) So..enjoy. they are worth the price.

I bought this as a replacement for my older one just like it, I had it 20 years! The one I had still heated, but I had it so long that it was time to replace it. I really like these, they're great for hair and my hair holds a curl very well with these hot rollers.

So far, I'm really happy with this purchase. I was looking for a way to curl my hair with heat when I needed it that was more gentle than a curling iron or flat iron, and after looking at many reviews and spending a few days thinking about the purchase, I bought this set. It heats up fast, the curlers are easy to put in and the clips secure them perfectly, and the curls when you allow the rollers to fully cool are amazing. I do have a couple tips: 1) Make sure you leave the lid down while heating. If you need to allow a roller to reheat after you've tried to put it in or you're doing another round, make sure you leave that lid down and it will heat so much faster. On the flip side, if you need the curler to cool down enough to handle it (be careful of the end that was touching the heating element because it does get hot), opening the lid for a few seconds, removing the curler, and placing it down on a table or floor for one moment to let it cool off helps in handling it if you have sensitive fingers. (This may seem like common sense to some, but I thought I'd mention it.) 2) Make sure you read up on what types of curls you want and follow that way of applying rollers. --For instance, if you want spirals, hold your roller in your dominant hand and the piece of hair in the other (don't go too big on the pieces of hair or they won't curl properly), with the roller maybe a half inch to an inch at most from the root. Then, wind the hair around the roller at an angle, using the whole area of the curler from end to end, making sure to tuck the free end of the hair under before rolling the last little bit of the roller down to the head and securing it with a pin from the bottom of the curler. You'll feel it when you have the pin in properly. --For more bouncy curls to brush out and just give you body, use bigger pieces of hair and roll the hair from the very bottom, tucking in the ends, up to the scalp. For those types of curls, I'd advise using only the biggest size rollers with maybe a few of the medium here and there, especially if you have shorter hair. 3) Make sure you unplug the roller set when you're done, because the one thing this doesn't have is an auto-shutoff feature. 4) If you find you want more of the smallest rollers or more of the big ones, etc. in this set, you can buy the rollers as sets from the original manufacturer. Don't want to say more than that in case it's not allowed, but just know that it is possible, as I've gotten more sets of the small and medium ones for when i want a head of small spirals. All in all, for the price, this was a good purchase. I haven't traveled with this yet, but it's not a huge set with a ton of pieces, so it should be fairly easy to travel with. Won't take up any more room that my huge gallon Ziploc bag of velcro rollers that I used to bring and not end up using because who wants to spend 4 hours sitting in curlers on vacation. These heated rollers allow you to get a whole head of curls done in about half an hour if you really want to push it. Should I have any updates on how this performs, I'll do an update on this review if I can.

I used to use these back in the day but have used a curling rod for the last 7 years. I decided to try ceramic rollers out again. White shirt with flowers is this product (ceramic rollers). Green shirt is my normal curling rod. Directions say heats up in 10 min. I didn't check right at 10 but put them in at 20 min. Took about 2-3 min to put in my hair. I didn't use the smallest white rollers just medium and large. Left in for 20 min. Fast, efficient and easy. If you're looking for tighter curls this is not your tool but if you want fast and soft curls this is perfect.

I was shopping for steam rollers when I found these. The steam rollers of old held heat longer than just the quick heat plastic rollers I bought before these. The wax allows the rollers to stay hotter longer. They do take a little longer to heat, which is also why they hold heat longer.

Package arrived in a condition that led me to suspect I had received an item that had been returned previously. Pictures reveal the way it was received. No items were missing from the inside of the box however the power cord was loose in the box...no tie There is no on/off switch. The unit takes a very long time to heat up. Several times, I had to shut it off without using it because I was finished getting ready and had to run. Yes, curlers are hot. I like the metal J clips. I have thin hair shoulder length hair. Not enough large rollers for me. The rollers gave me a super tight curl...I prefer a more relaxed style. So definitely not my favorite but it does what it is advertised to do.

I absolutely adore using these heated rollers. I use them on my yaki-straight hair and they keep my curls intact throughout the day. I highly recommend them.

I bought these for my momma. She has hot rolled her hair since the 80's she never got into anything else but a curling iron. I knew she would like these because she was using an old old curling iron and it wasn't working the way she wanted and said they stoped making hot rollers lol. So when she opened them she almost cried. Then after she used them she said she was in love with them and was so happy to have these hot rollers that she could use again. I did have to show her how to keep them in place and she got so many compliments. Product is as seen and works fabulously. Mom approved ✅

I've experimented with many roller sets, but nothing works as well as these. I like the velvet, and then ends stay cool to the touch. I have had other sets that get so hot I can't actually handle the curler! I need more than 20 rollers tho, but went I went to buy a second set, it was out of stock. i wound up going with another brand (Conair) and recycled these, and have regretted it ever since. Much to my delight, these remington are back in stock so I bought two so I have double the rollers. I will never to back to another set. These are hands down the best for my long, thick, fine, straight hair. The clips don't leave mark but fasten tightly, stay cool ends means I can roll quickly (about 15 min for my whole head), the velvet makes for painless unrolling, and the fact that they retain heat so well means that in about 30-40 minutes I have a tight set that brushes out into the most gorgeous pinup waves. AND, they are cheaper than I remember!
