I really like the look of this bow and it seems well made. I bought it to replace the one that came in my Hidersine Piacenza violin outfit having read that it's a good idea to upgrade from such kit bows as it can make a real difference to your sound and learning progress. Having played with the Vingobow for a week I hear no difference in the sound and it doesn't even seem any lighter (it's actually 3 grams lighter) but at least I like the look of it.

My wife plays a 50-year-old Chinese student violin too often, too loud and not particularly well. Despite this, I still love her. The bow hasn't made her sound any better, but she reports that it feels good in her hand and plays nicely. She's happy, and that makes me happy.
