All of the RAM mounts stuff is great, this included. His things very secure, easy to operate.

I've been using Ram Mount Products for about 10 years. They work great, are easy to use, and hold my large electronics (fish finders) securely even in rough/choppy water. I wouldn't keep purchasing an item if it didn't work.

These are great for mounting depth finders. Love Ram products. There are a lot of off brands out there but I’ve never had a problem with this brand

I should have read the description completely. If I had know this was mostly metal, I would have passed. Then again, I dont see an alternative, so... Marine grade aluminum? Not likely. This thing is already rusting and I havent even had near salt water yet. Also, this thing is really heavy. I would have preferred composite material like the clamp. This is my fault for not reading the description fully, and I will not deduct for this. It does hold well, however, it is really, really heavy. This puts a lot more strain on the clamp unit. Again, its my fault for not understanding that this was metal. Rating. I will deduct 1 start because this is way too expensive for what it is. These should be about $18-$20, whether metal or composite. Its just not worth more than that. This is basic manufacturing, materials and engineering. Nothing about this commands such a high price.

Works well for livescope transducer pole. I'm always impressed with how rigid these are. A size D system would be great for a transducer pole, but as far as I can tell, it's not currently an option. The extra stability from the 2.25" ball would be nice. Make sure you check and double check the length needed for your application. Some listed measurements are the length between balls, others are total arm length.

Love these Ram mounts, use them all over my boat.
