My hair used to get damaged and dry from getting highlights, but I started using the Schwartzkopf line back in 1998 and my hair is as healthy and shiny as it was when I was a kid before I ever colored it due to this brand. (I also use only 20 volume processor, as opposed to the 40 volume a lot of colorists insist they need, which makes a big difference.) It completely covers my gray, I just leave it on for 40 minutes. My sister's colorist uses another very famous brand, with 40 volume processor) and her hair is so dry it breaks all over and is never shiny. We have the same color and type of hair. I started using this on my mom (her hair was also dry, brittle and breaking like crazy), and this completely transformed her hair also into healthy hair again. It won't necessarily fix the already damaged hair, but it will prevent the new growth from getting damaged. And I color mine every 2-3 weeks since I hate those gray roots. I only put it on the roots when I color it, I don't drag it through all the hair. People stop me on the street to ask who does my color. I would actually give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could.
