Easy to use, great application, sound deadening ok. Seems to help some thermally

I put this down before I laid my LVP flooring in 2021, have loved it ever since! Makes a cold kitchen a totally cozy hangout on those chilly mornings. Set it and forget it, it has worked flawlessly. Just make sure your flooring is designed to handle it. Way cheaper and easier than running separate wires or hot water. Measure carefully before you order, you can easily trim the length, but can’t trim the width. I paired it with a Suntouch programmable thermostat, excellent. I installed this myself, so it was a fairly inexpensive project. I had to use a router on my subfloor to route the wiring and the thermostat sensor to the electric. I also installed 2 temp sensors. If the first one ever fails I can just attach the second without tearing up the floor. No problems so far!

Bought this material to install under our new LVP flooring. Contractor hadn't seen the brand before but went ahead with it. He's still working on a few projects here but has commented several times about how quiet it is, virtually no noise even with the dogs running around. I know he's recommended it to a couple other customers as well.

This vapor barrier flooring works well! It’s extremely thin(1.5 mil thick), but just enough under the vinyl plank flooring. Used on a concrete pad and over 4 inch square ceramic tile. The backing is a fiber type material attached to black plastic vapor barrier. Seams butt together well, but I added seam tape as the overlapping seam plastic tends to curl. It has a small thin strip of tape to adhere together and hold in place. I ended up cutting off the extra and then adding 4 inch seam tape. The material cuts fairly easily, especially if you have fabric scissors! Razor knife, won’t cut through it. The material unrolls and lays down really well. Overall easy product to use. Hopefully it will provide moisture barrier. As far as quiet… Only time will tell. Doesn’t seem like it added much of a sound barrier. Manufacturer video on how to install is very helpful!

This product was well worth the price, but if you are looking for more sound damping, I would go with thicker padding.

So glad we opted for the high quality underlayment. Made such a difference in the installation. Installed our floors and it’s great for sound dampened for floating floors. Not the easiest to cut with a utility knife—needs a REALLY sharp blade. Overall, we loved it.

We used this product on two floors during a full remodel. We had previously done the lower level with the foam and foil vapor barrier and 2mil pad. It actually added noise to the floor and rooms as you were in them and walked across them. This product is WIDE do not be surprised when it arrives. Less runs of it but can be tougher to work with in smaller spaces, but also fewer seams. Its noise reduction properties are awesome between floors and there is no noise when walking on the floors. We have heated floor mats under the floating floors and the product holds up well when installing them. I used vapor barrier tape similar to duct tape that should provide 100% waterproof surface under the floor. Even between bedrooms the sound is less pronounced. 100% worth every extra Nickel vs other flooring options.

Good price, good product. Was easy to use. Will buy again when we lay our next floor.

The quality is good and it works well. The product was easy to use and included good installation instructions. The best part was it was cheaper to buy through Amazon and was delivered quickly than the big box stores.

Need help unfold part stick togther

I looked at very many websites before deciding to buy this product as it was highly rated. However, considering how expensive this plastic covered felt is I was very disappointed that the 2 rolls arrived and were package taped together within a thin clear plastic packaging and both rolls were flattened and elliptical in shape as they were unprotected from distortion in transit. Each roll was wrapped in sellotape that couldn't be removed as it destroyed the membrane so had to be left on. When laying the rolls, both of them each had a large area where the black plastic membrane appeared stretched and and rippled and was not attached to the felt (see photos). If this is their level of quality control then it requires a serious overhaul and rolls should have arrived in a sturdy cardboard box.

Was too thin for the job returned it, but was never refunded

I was skeptical but not disappointed. It really does dampen footsteps. Good quality stuff. And cheaper then local big box stores
