You use small wood chips or dust to scold smoke food

Does all it needs to do which is funnel dense smoke into an area quickly and efficiently. Takes a bit of getting used to and some tips such as turning it on to start airflow before attempting to light the chips helps massively. It has a single button which starts and stops the airflow, I'm sure more expensive options have more features but I'm not sure what more you could want. Cant say I was a fan of the provided woodchips but very nice to have some included so you can test immediately, much preferred the hickory chips i later got a hold of. Have so far smoked some cocktails, soup and cottage cheese but looking forward to contructing a box for the purposes of trying to smoke fish. May update review when I do.

I was quite excited to get this as i enjoy smoked flavour but as i live in a dense high rise flat, we cant have anything that makes this smoke flavour naturally (eg a bbq) It works really well and within SECONDS - just one major downside - bits of wood pass through the mesh and into the food and drink (see pics for details) the included chips seem so tiny that 1/5th of the pack is "powder"/sawdust - these leech through the mesh and into the pipe and smoke. I cant seem to find the right "size" replacements either, its either too thin powdery stuff or big chucks for an actual bbq - It was hinted the mesh may have been faulty when i asked a question, but i can confirm there is no fault with the mesh and ive tried both of the included ones with same results so its obviously the actual wood chips thats included being smaller then the mesh holes. It worked well with pork chops, but made cheese taste like cigarette ash! the flabour only seems to work with certain food, but you can just get other wood chips - just trying to find a set of different ones is veryu hard - seems only ones i can find are importing from the USA with high postage and custom tax.

I bought this as a present for a friend and we are both blown away by the quality of the thing. The unit has a good weight and feels like a premium product. Was bought with the intention of adding a little extra flavour to some whiskey cocktails and it works perfectly. All you need to do is put the tube into your container with the whiskey (above the surface of the liquid) and seal the top of the glass (we used kitchen foil or cling film for this). We have been leaving it for about 5 minutes to absorb the smokey flavours and the results are amazing. It comes with a small bag of wood chips but we also bought a big container of them from Amazon too. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a smoker on a budget, although it doesn't feel like a budget product!

Not worth the money

Really easy to use! This comes nicely packaged in a sturdy box that can be used to keep it in afterwards, despite also coming with a storage box. It's really easy to attach the rubber pipe which is long enough to add to a cocktail glass or glass cover for your smoking needs. When powered up and fuel added, it takes seconds for glorious smoke to be pumped out...superb!

Great little smoker at a really good price. Instructions are clear and it very easy to set up and use. Have smoked cold ham and cheddar cheese. My only advice would be to leave whatever you are smoking a bit longer than time suggested. I ordered extra wood shavings but it comes with a small amount of wood to get you started.

Purchased this primarily for smoked Cocktails. Very easy to use and created more smoke than I had anticipated so absolutely delighted. Sample wood chips provided aren't overly flavoursom or pungent but it was good to receive some in the pack to get started.

Petit, léger et qui fonctionne sur pile. Je ne m'attendais pas à un pouvoir fumant aussi important. Avec très peu de matière sèche, la quantité de fumée produit est bien suffisante pour fumée un plat ou certains ingrédients. Je me suis fait un beurre fumée au thym pour accompagner le barbecue, c'est délicieux !
