sublime
i haven't had pickled herrings for about twelve years so i treated myself to these. they were worth the wait, they were sublime. i intend to treat myself to some more when i next get a hankering for them which might be in about an hour's time. i had my first rollmops at ghent friday market when i was twenty, and they were the most delicious fish i had ever tasted. eating them in the open air on a sunny december afternoon was an exquisite experience. i spent my last four francs on the two that were left and they were well worth the money. the jar was small for these kladesholmen herrings but they tasted rich so they were also well worth the money. good things come to those who wait :o)
