ESV Archaeology Study Bible

Beautiful resource on the Archeology of the Bible along with ESV edition to boot...must have for those who need to enrich their knowledge of God's word...Glory to God!!

The book does contain a lot of information. It did help me with my study. But it is expensive, and for the price, it could have been so much better. The primary weakness of this book is that it has little notes on the text itself. It doesn't have enough notes to act as a standalone study Bible. It does have a lot of historical information, but little attempt was made to create a strong cohesion between the text of the Bible and the extra info. Oftentimes, it feels as if the book just keeps throwing random cool historical facts and images at you for the sake of coolness alone. The second weakness is that it has little to no theology. Why is this designed this way? Because Crossway really wants to sell you their standard Study Bible and their Theology Study Bible alongside this one. But why would I buy three Bibles?

Hands down the best Bible I've ever owned. What I like most is how incredibly informative and educational it is. The wealth of archaeological insights, combined with the numerous illustrations, maps, and diagrams, truly brings the biblical text to life. It makes understanding the historical and cultural context so much easier and more engaging. I highly recommend it.

Die Archaeology Study Bible ist nicht nur optisch sehr ansprechend aufgebaut, sondern überzeugt vor allem durch die vielen spannenden Hintergrundinformationen. Zu den einzelnen biblischen Büchern und Themen gibt es archäologische und historische Ergänzungen, die das Verständnis enorm vertiefen. Besonders für alle, die sich für die Verbindung von Glaube, Geschichte und Archäologie interessieren, ist diese Ausgabe ein echter Gewinn. Sehr empfehlenswert!

The Bible looks amazing, but I tryed to buy it 2 times, but on both times it came dirty and with a lot of pages were folded on the corners. It's incredible why it doesn’t come protected with a plastic like any other book....

Printed in China, pages are like cigarette papers. Going through it now...
