Pentire on the rocks for the win!
Great taste, love the brand! Much like the 6 can cocktails this Adrift Pentire offers an easy refreshing non-alcoholic drink served with tonic/soda. A perfect supplement, substitute or just outright Pentire for the thirst quenching win! A regular in my home bar!

Top substitute for gin
Really good substitute for gin/vodka in mixed drinks. Good botanicals with the savoury flavours one might expect from spirits, which make no alcohol cocktails taste authentic. Also not bad alone with ice!

Delicious but a bit heavy with Rosemary
Delicious non alcoholic drink. I find a small measure is best with can of tonic as it's a bit heavy on the rosemary flavour

Beware - Nothing like alcohol free gin!
Nothing like non alcoholic gin, no juniper ingredient. Advertised as also free gin but is not branded as such on bottle - full of herbs. An expensive bottle of tosh!

Great for making healthy cocktails!
This was just spot on. I had some friends over and we made some martinis and margaritas with Adrift (plus a few negronis with the other Pentire Coastal Spritz) from the recipes on their website. So good!

Disappointing...
When alcohol free drinks taste like this, then why give up the booze? Thought I'd give this a try in a change to my usual Botivo brand. I wish i hadn't. I get it it's plant based, but when it taste like nettles in wet mud... As others have commented, it's expensive for a flavoured water, and I dare say, my aquarium water with a bit of tonic would probably taste the same. I've given two stars instead of one, as it's a nice bottle. I won't be buying any other Pentire branded drinks.

Just OK
A decent alcohol free alternative to spirits being quite refreshing. Advertised as alcohol free gin. It's a clear liquid but that's where the resemblance ends. With additives it's ok but the overpowering taste of (I think) samphire is just too much. Gave it a go but would not buy again.

We LOVE this stuff
Wait until its on offer and get buying - tastes fabulous, really delightful. You need quite a bit though so doesn't last overly long..a definite treat and by far the best non alcoholic drink we've tried.

Interesting flavor--great with tonic, not great on its own
It took me a few tries, but I have decided that I really like this stuff! It is an unusual flavor on its own, but with tonic it provides a wonderful herbal, minerally flavor that results in a great drink. Does not taste like gin, but does taste like a fascinating botanical mocktail that isn't sweet or chemical-tasting. You need to approach it as its own thing, not as a fake-gin.

Little or no juniper flavor
I like gin. If this was supposed to taste like gin it does not it tastes sour. No juniper flavor detected. The only way I can drink it is to mix it with strong mixers. Tonic doesn’t tame it but lemonade does and Squirt is a decent mixer with this. The reason I purchased it was based on one review that complained that it tasted like a pine tree. Good news that sounds like strong juniper flavor! Not good news, it just tasted sour. I think the key to gin is not the citrus flavor it’s the juniper taste and aroma

Complex flavor without additives and quite enjoyable as a non-alcoholic drink
Pentire's Adrift has a unique sophisticated flavor, and I imagine the Cornish coastline and wild herbs on the hillsides while enjoying it. I like it best straight over ice with a squeeze of lemon and a sprig of rosemary. I offered a taste to a sister, and she likes it, too. Based on my satisfaction with the taste of Adrift, and its other qualities, like no additives, especially dangerous ones, I have ordered one of their other flavors to try it out. I will become a repeat customer and buy this as a gift to give to those who may appreciate and enjoy the flavor.

Seriously the weirdest stuff ever. What WAS the NYT thinking recommending it??
well. I really wanted to like/tolerate it. And I rarely leave bad reviews. I was going to just let Pentire know but no contact info for them. Opened the bottle and it smelled like you should clean your shoes or lubricate something with it. Put some in a 1/2 drunk good real martini, thinking that might help - no. Undrinkable. Some review said "directly into the drain" Sadly they are right. OTOH - it comes in a lovely clear sturdy bottle that will be nice with some little sparkle, battery wine glass lights!!! Not bad for $40!!!!

very satisfying if you like botanical gins
this stuff is amazing if you prefer botanical gins. on the other hand, like many of the new entries in non-alcoholic substitutes, it’s rapaciously over-priced.
