Missing parts and brittle materials
i only have on major complaint. but ill cover all my minor gripes first. first off the materials for the arm are rather flimsy. i haven't even removed them form their frames yet and they feel almost like cardboard. though it comes with the instructions and installation, i unfortunately had to look it up to find the manual for the kit i bought. packing a cd isn't reealy that viable anymore, BUT i am aware of that and i was already working with Arduino to begin with. but now to my main complaint, to be fair i should have expected that with a slightly cheaper kit. But i am missing 2 servos from the kit. I NEED the 4 to control the arm. i would request a refund but i can;t be bothered. i will be taking more care when ordering here again.

Great science project
Great project for kids wanting to learn to code.

Great value for the the money, plastic can be a little brittle
This little robot is fun to build, and works well with Arduino software. My only complaints are similar to others, the plastic this robot is a little brittle and the base piece I received had a crack in it, luckily this did not effect the build. The only other issue was that it appeared that some of the holes and possibly the screws were missing or incorrect size (either that or the instructions need to be tweaked). Otherwise this is a great kit especially for the money, I even went on to add additional sensors to the arm.

I keep the electronics, the rest to the garbage
This product comes with a documentation on DVD. Documentation that is minimal. Nothing said on what screws to tight and how much to tight them. On the final result, some screws are too tight and they are no more accessible without unmounting the whole robot. It was the case for me on one servo.. But the other servos didn't do the job either, except one. I'm an engineer and was very surprised by some design choices. Impossible to keep things in place and screw them without plyers and an adult strength. I didn't even asked my grand-kids (7 and 9) to participate. I spent nearly a full day to assemble this robot. To see at the end that it is not working. I would have to disassemble it to access the faulty screws. That's what I will do, but I won't reassemble it. I will keep electronics, servos and cables, and put the rest in the garbage.

this has wrong chip
I thought this would be a good project for me. I have no way of contacting the seller Lavin, this mechanical arm runs on a ardiuno board and software, so I contacted robotime which also handles this product, after numerous emails and screenshots they have informed me the board has the wrong chip, This has been very frustrating. The cd supplied with the kit was wrote in 2013. I still cannot contact lavin. I am 65 and disabled with parkinsons and i still would like to complete this kit

Worth every cent
I love this very challenging. And a great way to start coding. Now the instructions aren't the most clear. So make sure to pay attention to peice orientation

Súper fácil de armar, bien kit para ser el primer robot armado, consideró que algunas partes en el instructivo debe avisar no dar de más el torque a los tornillos ya que suelen tronar las piezas plásticas

Todo bien, pero me falto la llave para apretar, solo venía el desarmador jaja Y un poco de complicaciones al ponerle los códigos.

México, Agosto de 2022. Debes tener cuidado al momento de quitar las piezas de las bases. La estructura es de acrílico (no de MDF como algunos comentan), te entretienes un rato armándolo y programando el brazo con cada una de las lecciones que son de gran ayuda para entender como funciona (por si quieres armar tu propio brazo robot u otro proyecto que utilice cualquiera de los modos de trabajo). En lo personal me sirve mucho ya que de aquí voy a tomar tips para enseñarle a mis estudiantes como trabajar este proyecto (de hecho salen al menos 4 practicas y un proyecto). Puedes desconectarlo de tu lap o pc, y alimentarlo con una pila de 9V o con 4 pilas AA (obvio con su respectivo portapilas y broche para arduino) para hacerlo portátil.
