Good value and quality, but no instructions
I ordered this brake kit to fix a low-speed brake squeal that resulted from a prior brake pad replacement without replacing the rotors. The cost of this kit includes both front and rear brake pads and rotors and they also throw in a container of DOT3 brake fluid, a can of brake parts cleaner spray, and a couple of packets of anti-seize grease for places that the brake pad ears slide in the retaining clips. These are heavy duty disc brake rotors and pads cost me a fraction of what my local auto parts store listed them for. Installation was fairly easy, despite NO INSTRUCTIONS included with the kit. I watched a couple of installation videos on YouTube and gained enough confidence to do the job. A couple of things that I had not expected: the boxes containing the rotors and pads are not marked to tell you which axle they go on. With my Ford Expedition, there's a set of rear drum brakes for the emergency brake and the correct rotor needs to be able to fit over the drums. You can either slide the rotor over the lugs on the rear axle after removing the old rotor to see if it fits, or just pick up the rotors: the front rotors are much heavier than the rear rotors and this makes sense since the rear rotors have the extra metal removed so they fit over the emergency drum brakes. The other unexpected problem I encountered was the old rotors were seized or rusted onto the rotating hub that contains the lug bolts. I had to beat the inner surface of the old rotor with a 4# sledge hammer to break it loose and remove the old rotor and it took a lot more force and hits with the hammer than I would have thought, but that's not an issue with the Detroit Axle kit. The kit comes with two identical slips of paper with printed instructions for bedding the brakes after installation. I followed the instructions the best I could -- the neighbors looked at me oddly when I accelerated down the street, only to ALMOST stop, then repeat a few more times. After bedding the brakes, the squeal is gone and the brakes work great. I would recommend this kit to anyone that has a bit of mechanical ability or a DIY attitude as well as the required tools, including various sockets, hex wrenches, floor / hydraulic jack and jack stand.

Totally worth the money
Very high quality everything fit perfectly on my 2004 350Z convertible and after bedding the new brakes they are very responsive and quiet.

Great deal better stopping power
I got this for my 2000 f350. I tow a lot. Granted my trailer only weighs about 8000 lb but I tow it daily with my mobile mechanic business. I did run a break-in with these rotors. I don't think a lot of people understand that rotors do need to break in, all of the bad responses I see on here are likely due to people thinking all breaks are just plug and play. When you install these make sure the surfaces are clean. I usually run very fine sandpaper like 400 grit over the brake pads prior to installation. With the rotors I will make sure they are clean with brake cleaner. I also installed all new calipers at the same time and I drove the truck with no load for about 100 miles. I also drove the truck up to 70 mph and then made a few abrupt stops. Basically the metal has to heat up and cool down several times and these things will never give you an issue. These perform extremely well they are very durable and this is definitely good quality. They do make a little bit more noise than Factory but that is typical of drilled and slotted rotors. These definitely fit my truck so I would say the accuracy of the system is perfect. Installation with these is easy. Again I would highly recommend that you run a break-in. And I would highly recommend that you replace all the calipers at the same time.

Great upgrade
My 2005 4Runner Sport OEM brakes were still ok, just a little worn and some surface rust. Being that these a zink plated, I think they'll stay looking good for a long time. I saw that a lot of reviewers got the wrong size, so you need to know that before ordering. I didn't use the brake pads that came with it, I cleaned my barely used Akebono pads. There's always a little noise when you install new brake parts, but they're perfect and quiet after just a few miles. The drilled and slotted rotors look great and no doubt they'll perform better.

Feeling safer for less
They fit my vehicle. I was metal on metal. I live approximately 2000 feet up a mountain. These brakes will get a true test of quality. They were very affordable given the local parts house wanted over 500 for the 4. It would have been the Detroit Axle brand

2013 Nissan Altima - Great rotors and pads
Great rotors and pads for my 2013 Nissan Altima. Easy to install. No issues. No noise and the car stops perfectly. I had purchased rotors and pads from Detoit Axle for my 2005 Ford Explorer over 5 or 6 years ago and have been very happy with them and they're still working and doing great, so when my car needed new pads and just bought Detroit Axle rotors and pads for it because they are as cheap as just getting the pads replace. I have been very satisfied with Detroit rotors and pads on both of my vehicles and they work well

Product fit.
The product is outstanding! Definitely worth the upgrade on the 2018 Toyota Rav-4. Make sure you obtain the correct tools and lubricants before begining the job, other than that it is easy. This vendor is responsible when there are issues with the delivery. My order placed in December 24 was finally fulfilled as whole on January 11 therefore logistics could do a better job.
