Purrfect
This is purrfect. The set up is super easy and fast. The canners has great quality and you can talk to your furbabies. The night vision works great and is very clear. The laser is the main reason I purchased this product so that I could check in on my fur babies while I am out of town and I can talk to them through the microphone as well as play. It does have options to automatically move it or you can manually move it this is hands-down, the best product and camera and laser pointer all in one if you are a parent of a fur baby, I truly highly recommend this product. Worth it!

Excellent camera and VIP service is perfect
On average, this camera is good enough. Looks very nice, Good quality. I love the laser toy feature there keeping the cat in tonus even if nobody is at home. However, the app is not well organized in my opinion. You can notice some lagging with the laser. Sound communication is terrible - you need to play with 2 buttons to speak and to hear. It would be better to have just one button in order to activate/disable the sound channel. I set 3 stars only because... After the free trial period ended, the cloud image previews stopped working (see, a screenshot). You have to open each of them to figure out what was found by the motion detector there. Even the purchase of a cloud subscription doesn't help to fix that. They have online help in the app but my experience was awful. They ask to describe the problem many times (initially by the robot, then several times again by the operator) even when the screenshots were provided. Finally, they asked me to provide a login and a password for my Eye4 account, telling me I can later create a new one. This sounded weird to me. I had to reject this request and gave up on these previews. I would say you can definitely buy it to monitor and play with pets but don't expect too much. UPDATE: My case has got the continue... I was reached out to by Sharon from the VStarcam VIP service team. Sharon is very professional. After asking several reasonable questions, Sharon quickly identified the issue on their side and fixed my problem without any actions from my side. This was the exact example I would expect from professional support. I have increased the rating to 5 stars in my review because the camera and the app work perfectly for me now. The buttons' functionality in the app is not so important because this is how it was designed and you just have to get used to it. Thank you Sharon for your great service.

Huh? Why such a high average rating? A spy device?
This camera works and works well. I did not buy any of the competing products, which cost much more, so I cannot compare them. Why do I give it a low review, then? Well, the product has a strange setup procedure. The camera comes with a small two-sided business card with two QR codes on either side, one for the Android app and the other for the iOS app. You scan the correct one with your phone, and it would take you to the app. I scanned the Android one, for my phone. The link did not direct me to the Google Play store. Instead, it was a URL to a website in China, by the ".ch" suffix. My browser was scared stiff. Instead of downloading it from there, I went to the Google App store and searched on the app's name. I was able to find it. The app had a review rating of just over 3 stars, a far cry from the nearly perfect 5 star rating I see on the Amazon storefront. I followed the instructions which involved powering up the camera and doing specific actions on the phone app based on some audible cues from the camera. Then, a QR code was shown on my phone and I showed it to the camera and it was able to connect to the WiFi network and also to an account I had to create. I seem to recall needing to so something with incense and an incantation and some fancy footwork. So great, I have it set up. I can start the app on my phone and scan around the room. This device is also advertised as a security camera, too. It makes sense. There were several of us who live in the house. I just have to download the app and log into the account that I created on all of the phones. Easy, right? Well ... not so much. Every phone needed a separate account to be created. For this one camera and three members of the household, we had to create three brand new accounts. Why do they need so many emails for? Also, I noticed that if I run the app on my phone and then I navigate to the home screen, it is still burning my battery. The app asks for permissions for everything: pictures, movies, camera, voice, media files, network. Why does it need so much access? Of all of the apps I have on my phone, this one is in second place for requesting for the most permissions. What is it doing on my phone that is burning so much battery? And all of a sudden it makes sense why this is so much cheaper than competing products with the same features. My advice for those of you looking to buy this, skip it. There are a lot of behaviors that the app did not need to do but it does. I will look to replace it the first chance I get. Until then, if there is someone who is hoping to see compromising video from within my mom's house, well, they'll just have to make do with hours and hours of watching her watch TV.

Great little camera for watching and playing with your cats while away!
I'm pretty tech savvy, so keep that in mind. Its was easy to set up by using the QR codes on the card that came with it. From there, my 9 year old figured out how to use all the features. It is not as intuitive to me as previous cameras I have owned. But once up and running, it works well. I am not giving it 5 stars just because the instructions need to be more clear. Picture is clear, night vision is great. The laser is a not the tiny dot I am used to, but it is a little thicker and still works well. It's a little challenging to control the laser but not difficult. Over all I would recommend this for the price. It has a lot of features others don't. I will update my review as I use it more. We have had it for a week so far.

Great Value, easy to use camera
I bought this camera before I left state for surgery for several weeks to help me keep an eye on my cat. I had no issues with set up or the app it utilizes. the barcode on the bottom of the camera also scanned easily. I personally had no need for the motion sensing function, but my roommate utilized that feature on her own, and it works very well. she was able to adjust the sensitivity easily to. it provides app alerts when it detects motion and was able to be set to record until motion ended. The automatic night vision is incredibly clear and in grey scale, which i prefer over some night vision cameras green tone. I was across the country utilizing it and as long as it's been connected to wifi once it should connect fine. I only had issues when my personal connection at my new location wasn't strong. the microphone is pretty loud, but I didn't have a problem with that. It helped keep my boy calm to hear my voice here and there. I'm hoping they'll add a feature of recording messages in the future. Audio and video quality were also very decent, and the ability to save photos and videos is convenient. it just creates a new folder in your phone. it is outlet plug powered, but that's a minor downside for me. the Lazer pointer in the camera is pretty powerful and has a great distance. it's attached to the camera swivel and is controlled with a virtual joystick. it also has some pre-set patterns, and the ability to program your own. overall I think for the cost it's an excellent quality camera. not too big either.

Works fine, Few Features to work out
My camera's picture came pink, heres a photo I took of my cat when I was testing it out. I thought it was just night vision but its like this during the day too. So I'll be returning it regardless, thought I would give y'all an in-depth review. A couple of things: - Laser can be turned off but it automatically comes on when you leave the app and come back or exit the specific camera menu. It can overstimulate your pet when you wanna check on your pet often. - Connectivity is actually not that bad! Granted theres only a couple of devices on my wifi. - Comes with an ethernet cable if you want to physically connect it to your wifi but not necessary it can connect to your wifi. - Power wire is short so if you want to place it on your ceiling, good luck. Overall The camera for the price is nice but the few kinks it has makes it frustrating to use. The night vision, person tracking, image quality and connectivity are all great. The fact that the laser constantly turns on by itself is a real deal breaker though.

Nice security camera.
I bought this for my fiancé for Christmas. I wanted to give her a cat toy but the security camera functions sold me, something that can keep her safe and let her play with her cat from far away is a win win. If you look at my image of the app, the button on the top right of the control section turns on and off the laser pointer. So ima nd our of cat mode basically. Moving the dot in the center of the control panel points the camera and the laser pointer. The security functions are nice, you can set it up to send alerts on motion. I set it up and got alerts even at slight motions, it’s an excellent security camera as a result. You can set it up to to do pop up notifications on the phone. See the images. Pros: 1. It’s more security camera than toy 2. You can talk through it and see day or night 3. You control the laser pointer, it’s not like randomized 4. I love the motion results, now I can be sure my fiancé knows if anyone is in her home. Cons: 1. It creates a feedback loop of you open the mic close to it 2. The device has to be plugged in, I wish it was rechargeable or something 3. It’s got just.. really poor directions. Luckily, it’s very easy to set up. If you watch my video I tell you exactly what you need to do. *all photos uploaded are either of the device, the app that controls it, alerts from the app, or were taken by the device. All photos are relevant.

Good product
We have an older house and the floor makes noise when you step on it. So sometimes if i walk into his room to check him that wake him up. I really like this camera system which I got for my little one. Now I can monitor from screen when he falls asleep and when he gets up. it works perfectly to meet my demand. This camera is really easy to set up and really convenient to use also. There are two button very useful to me: It has function as a speaker , and at the same time it also can collecting the voice from the same room where you place it. When my little one sleep i will put the screen on and I can work at another room, I can see exactly what is going on in his room and when he starts to move around. Sometimes I took it to living room also to monitor where he crawling. This is definitely a good buy product.

Excellent product. Exactly what I was after and does the job effectively.
I'm very happy with this purchase. It was simple to set up the camera and app. The camera quality is excellent. I can now watch my furbaby when I leave the house without her. It will also come in handy as added security to my home. The size of the unit is great and is unobtrusive.

Great camera!
Great camera! I don’t understand why some people leave bad reviews. Yes, there are a lot of settings, and at first, I was a bit confused, but my daughter helped me figure it out. This camera has been a real lifesaver for us. After surgery, my cat has to stay in isolation for a while, and thanks to the built-in laser, he doesn’t get as bored when we’re not home. I can control the laser from my phone and watch him in real time. Some people say that you can’t save videos to a memory card—that’s not true! You just need to set it up correctly. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. The camera is excellent! 🔥✨

Privacy issues
The camera is good nothing to complain although it lacks privacy securities. You’ll have to trust whoever it is who develop it and the app. The other day I was at home and the camera simply turned on and started looking around. That felt really bad because there is only 2 people who uses this camera and it was none of them. So someone invaded it somehow. I would think 1000 times before buying something like that again from an untrustworthy source.
