I wanted to have light but not drill a hole through the camper wall. This mount allows me to position the light wherever I need it.I contacted Sea Sucker via. telephone before I ordered the mount to ask a couple of questions. A customer service representative was polite and spoke English. She told me that my application is a good example of the products uses. She actually seemed to be excited about the product. I decided to place my order after speaking with the company. There were no product reviews to read on this product through Amazon.I ordered the mount and it arrived several days later. I ordered a floodlight from a different company and it arrived 4 days sooner. I paid the same shipping for both items. I think this item took too long to arrive considering the price I paid.The mount came in a small box and was undamaged. The lip of the vacuum has a protective hard plastic cover to keep it safe while not in use. I was excited to try the mount, so I attached my light. I had to search my parts bin for the right size bolt and washers, but it worked out great.You have to moisten the vacuum mount and put it on a smooth surface. I used a window on my back door for a test run. The first time I tried it nothing happened when I pumped the plunger. I quickly realized that I wasn't pushing the mount on the surface with enough force to allow it to work.The mount attached to the glass very well. I was surprised at the strength. I decided to remove it and try it on my camper. The mount came off easily when I pulled on the release tab. I took it outside to my camper and it worked great. I can now put light anywhere I need it. I plan on carrying this in my truck to use as a trouble light if I need it.The product comes with a 30 day warranty for UNUSED products for a refund. I found that to be kinda worthless. The provided 1 year warranty applies to the original purchaser only and must have a receipt to make a claim. I hope I don't need it, but one year should allow me to make up my mind whether this product is reliable.The instructions also state that the 4 1/2 inch cup has a load rating of 40 pounds. They continued to write that it has a safety factor of 3:1. The weight rating advertised takes this safety factor out of the equation.The instructions state that cleaning is done with dish soap and water. The pump appears to need periodic lubrication with "silicone gel". I assume it is done as needed. There were no guidelines for frequency of maintenance.I found the product to be well made, but could see how any damage to the vacuum cup lip could made it worthless. I think that it holds very well, and I will not worry about it in my application. Only time will tell if it will last, but this is the first day. The best part of this mount is "MADE IN THE USA" written on the mount. I am happy with this purchase. I give this mount five stars for construction quality and versatility. This is a clever idea and I haven't seen anything like it on the market so far.
