Finally arrive today. Package was torn for tear. But book in package was in great shape other wise. Worth the wait for the content and projects covered in it. Contain a couple projects that was great interest for me because I'm working on similar projects related at work and looking for details on those topic/subjects.

XC8 all the way!
Well this is the one and only book that "embraces" the mighty XC8. Deserves five stars. Even though some examples are not clear and Mr. Ibrahim uses some very expensive equipments from time to time, this is a great book.

Slow boat from Germany it appears .. It would help to have a tracking number to check on shipping process. Took almost 2 month to get here after ordering it. Finally arrive today. Great book, but it depends heavily on MikroC for the advanced projects.

The first program unable to compile with MPLAB XC8 compiler.
The first program in chapter 3.1 was not able to clear with MPLAB XC8 compiler. Also, the infinite ( ; ; ) infinite loop is stated as error. May be the book written with different software version. It is frustrating for a beginner. I was hoping this would be a good learning experience. I was using the PICKIT 4 tool and Explorer 8.

Realmente um bom livro técnico sobre microcontroladores pic18f utilizando mplab x-ide xc8 e mikroc. Voluminoso, abundante de exemplos práticos escritos por quem poe mão na massa. Para recomendar com tranquilidade. Interessante é ver como todas aquelas perguntas que surgem ao ler os datasheet do fabricante são elucidadas com facilidade e simplicidade numa linguagem direta e prática. A didática é apoiada sobre projetos iniciando do mais simples e progressivamente aumentando a sua complexidade.

Good starting point with PIC18 microcontrollers and with both XC8 and mikroC language suites simultaneously. Broad range program examples from simple blinking LEDs to signal processing and SD card handling routines. Most examples use mikroC suite, unfortunately those examples are very hard to convert to XC8 because mikroC libraries are closed source code. MikroC suite has 2kB produced code size limitation in free licence mode (XC8 has not), so you must buy a licence for creating more serious applications. Also, mikroC suite does not support PicKit3 programmer and you must buy special one from MikroElektronika or use HEX file import to MPLAB. Despite to that, its a good value book both for beginners and experienced PIC fans!

El libro fue entregado en tiempo y forma, justo lo que esperaba del libro pues ya habia leido otro de fundamentos de microcontroladores y éste analiza principalmente proyectos y como resolverlos
