Great bag for Daily Use and Travel
I've had this bag for about 2 years now and love it. From a build perspective it is extremely high quality. Stress points reinforced, handles sturdy, etc. Water resistance is excellent. The openings on the sides are the big thing for me. It really makes things easier to access. There are also several smaller pockets within the side doors that are great for holding the odds and ends. The interior dividers are pretty thin which does give you basically the full 30L to use, if you want. Really easy to adjust the straps to get the fit right. One very small downside is that the strap you use to hook it to a carry-on luggage handle is sideways which does restrict access a little bit. Overall, this bags works really well for me. I would definitely buy it again, but probably won't have to for quite a while.

Another incredible product from Peak Design
This backpack is incredible, just like most Peak Design products. Every corner is thoughtful and every feature is intentional. I love this as a larger alternative to my sling back and it holds plenty of gear including most days a Nikon Z8 with attached 50mm, 70-200, 35mm, flash, and a fully packed tech pouch. It’s comfortable and so easy to use on the go.

Best diaper bag, ever
The side opening and adjustable width compartments make it just as helpful for baby gear as it does camera gear. My brother used it for his diaper bag and raved about it. We first bought a cheaper travel backpack to avoid the pricey investment, but broke down to buy this one after 6 months of struggling with getting all the baby gear in and out of the bag easily. We took this back on a 2 week trip to visit family right after we got it and it was a miracle-worker. So easy to travel with! We put diapers in the bottom compartment, bottles in the middle, and toys in the top compartments where they would be most accessible on the plane without having to open the entire bag. The expansion top is really clutch for quick access and storing a swaddle, hoodie and any soft stuffies or larger toys. The tie down straps on the outside helped us carry a small park blanket and his travel baby wipes container. The water bottle/tripod pocket on both sides can hold a parent’s water bottle and baby’s water bottle. It’s soo comfortable on the back (unlike the BellRoy backpacks) and it has great adjustable straps for shorties like me and taller people. My one and only complaint is the lack of an inside or outside zipper pocket on the top flap of the bag. The older Everyday 20L Zip-Up pack has the inside pocket feature, it’s not exactly clear why they got rid of it on the extension pack. When the bag is full, expander is fully out, you desperately need that pocket. It drives me nuts that I can’t quickly shove a pacifier, or a straw, or small, tiny items like bandaids right in top for easy access. There’s a half pocket on the laptop bag slot, but it’s too narrow/compressed flat to fit a pacifier or bulkier small item. The side pockets on the side-opening flaps are too shallow/not tall enough. A lot of people have complained about this in blogs comparing the two models. Please add a zip pocket on the under side of the expansion flap and it will be the perfect bag!

A Fantastic Backpack with One Minor Drawback
I recently purchased the Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2 30L, and overall, I am extremely pleased with its performance and durability. It's a remarkable backpack that fulfills its promise of being an everyday companion for all my needs. However, I must deduct a star from my rating due to its limited space for cylindrical items such as pill containers and mini tripods. Let's start with the positives. This backpack is a true workhorse, designed to withstand the rigors of everyday use. The build quality is exceptional, with robust materials and solid construction. The zippers are smooth and reliable, ensuring quick access to my belongings. The weatherproofing features have proven to be effective, providing peace of mind during unexpected downpours. The various compartments and pockets are intelligently organized, making it easy to keep my essentials sorted and accessible. The comfort level of this backpack is outstanding. The shoulder straps are well-padded and adjustable, allowing for a customized fit. The back panel offers excellent ventilation, which prevents excessive sweating during extended wear. The weight distribution is well-balanced, even when carrying heavy loads. The sternum strap and waist belt add an extra layer of stability, particularly when I'm on the move or traveling. Despite all these remarkable features, there is one area where the Everyday Backpack falls short. The inner pockets, while thoughtfully designed, lack sufficient space for cylindrical items. Pill containers and mini tripods, for instance, do not fit comfortably in any of the designated compartments. While I appreciate the backpack's focus on versatility and organization, this limitation restricts its usefulness for photographers, travelers, or anyone who relies on such items. However, it's worth mentioning that the backpack's flexibility allows for workarounds. Utilizing the external attachment points or using the versatile FlexFold dividers can help accommodate these cylindrical items, albeit not as conveniently as dedicated pockets would have allowed. In conclusion, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2 30L is an exceptional product, living up to its reputation as a sturdy and reliable companion for everyday use. It boasts outstanding durability, comfort, and organization, making it an ideal choice for most individuals. However, its limited space for cylindrical items, such as pill containers and mini tripods, is a minor drawback that prevents me from giving it a perfect score. Despite this limitation, I highly recommend this backpack to anyone in need of a reliable and stylish companion for their daily adventures.

One Pack to Rule Them All
This backpack is the best pack I have ever owned bar none. I have Hex, Chrome, and Lowepro packs to name a few. They are all great in their own way and good for what I used them for, but this pack is more versatile, useful, and comfortable to carry. I have lower back problems, and some packs irritate my back, and I end up in pain. Not this pack. It’s so easy to adjust while wearing so that my back issues when carrying gear have gone away. I am a teacher. Due to the pandemic, I teach my courses online and enhance them with videos. I decided to shoot those videos vlog style and post them on YouTube. I needed a backpack to carry my camera, lenses, microphones, and other gear. I shoot these videos hiking with my dogs every morning. This pack has room for all my stuff and then some. I have used this pack for a couple of weeks and am still discovering ways to adapt the space to better suit the gear I want to carry. This is one of the best purchases that I have ever made. I have the Peak Design capture clip, too. Peak Design is a company that like Apple are never done perfecting their equipment. They use what they build and listen to their customers. That combination means their equipment is refined and goes beyond your expectations for how they work. I will continue to purchase their products because they are well made, and Peak Design stands behind their work providing lifetime guarantees. They are a green company with zero carbon emissions. I liked the charcoal and midnight blue colors better but bought the black because it’s the vegan option. If you are looking for an everyday backpack that is versatile, well made, comfortable to carry that protects your gear, buy this pack. You won’t be sorry. It’s the one pack to rule them all my precious.

Well Designed Backpack, Small Improvements
The 2nd Version of Peak Design's Everyday Backpack should not be considered a substantial upgrade from the first version. If you have the first version, I would recommend sticking with it as that version is just as good as the newest one - plus you can save yourself some money as they are currently on sale/clearance if you are in the market for a Peak Design Backpack but have a tight budget. The layout remains the same in the newest version and the comfort issue surrounding the straps improved slightly. I wouldn't recommend taking this backpack on extended hikes, but it does work well for typical everyday use; which is what this backpack was design for. I personally use this backpack for work and general day photography use. It works well whether or not you are carrying photo gear. If I do have to carry my camera gear, I know that it can be carried securely in this backpack and be accessed pretty quickly using either the side zippers or the Mag Latch at top. This can be a good bag for street photography. USABILITY/CAPACITY: The backpack can be used for a variety of purposes, including general use. I bought the 30L version and have more than enough space for all of my everyday items (keys, wallet, phone, laptop, etc.). I typically carry MacBook Pro and iPad daily - those devices fit well in the compartment at the back of the pack. In the main compartment, I would store my lunch and an extra sweater if it was needed during the day. On days that I do go out for photo shoots, I can fit my mirrorless camera and 2-3 lenses and my drone along with my MacBook Pro. The top portion of the main compartment can expand with the Mag Latch mechanism if you need more space and can accommodate other bulky items such as a jacket. COMFORT/OTHER BRAND RECOMMENDATIONS: The straps on this bag are not the best I have seen. If you are looking for ultimate comfort, I would recommend checking out Osprey or The North Face. Keep in mind that these other bags will have different organizational systems; you may have to purchase a separate camera cube to store your camera gear safely. LowePro is also another good brand to check out if you are looking to carry a large amount of camera gear for an extended period of time. There is a removable sternum strap that can be used to help with weight distribution. The waist strap has to be purchased separately. This brings me to my next point. ORGANIZATION: This bag is the king of organization in my perspective. You can divide the main compartment using the removable shelves, or you can remove all of the shelves and have one big open space for books or papers. The individual shelves can fold up or down to help you arrange your things appropriately. This also prevents your camera gear from hitting other gear being carried in the backpack. The laptop and tablet area in the back has sleeves to assist with keeping your devices in separate area. The tablet sleeve has a magnet that keeps the sleeve closed. There is a small area towards the top of the laptop/tablet compartment that can be used to store sun glasses or other small items such as Air Pods. OVERALL DESIGN/APPEARANCE: The backpack is very sleek in appearance and follows a minimalistic design with a clean appearance in the front. I like that the fact that the pockets are not stacked in front of each other. With other bags, you will have an admin compartment for small items, but filling that compartment usually causes it to bulge into your main compartment reducing the amount of usable space. This bag has one big open area that you can arrange based on your needs without having to worry about pockets that are stacking on top of each other. The straps have a magnet that keeps them attached to the back panel when they are not in use. I purchased the black version and it looks really good! I have already received a couple compliments from people during my commute; the first question that seems to be asked is, who manufactures that bag (because the logo is not readily visible)? Peak Design does a good job with incorporating their brand into the bag, but not making it obnoxious in the sense that they are trying to turn you into a walking bill board. DURABILITY: This backpack has a lot of durability. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell this backpack will last a long time. The fabric that is used on the outside is very thick and feels like it is resistant to abrasions. The zippers operate very smoothly and are even taped to prevent water from leaking inside if you find yourself in a light rain shower. I would buy a rain cover for more water resistance if you are in an area where downpours happen often. The Mag Latch mechanism for accessing the bag from the top is pretty cool because you can open the bag with one hand. Time will only tell, I will update this review if I find durability issues down the road - I plan on using this backpack for a while. BOTTOMLINE: This backpack is not cheap and would be considered an investment for many. If you value organization and want a backpack that is well designed, this bag meets both of these requirements. At $289, I would say there is value because you will receive a life time warranty from Peak Design if this product fails and you are receiving a product that was designed with quality in mind. This backpack is good for daily use and I would recommend this backpack to others if your budget permits. If you cannot justify spending $300 on a backpack, I would look at other brands from major manufactures who have been in this business for longer than Peak Design. They manufacture bags that are just as usable and are able to offer them a lower price point because of the volume they produce and manufacturing costs. The type of backpack a person needs will always depends on what they will be using it for and what their budget is. Of course this is not a one type fits all kind of situation, so do some research before you decide you want to pull the trigger! Just because a backpack is expensive doesn't mean it will fit everyone's needs perfectly. I hope this review was able to provide you with help on your search for a good backpack. Good luck!

Amazing Build Quality But Not Useful At All
I've been a fan of Peak Design from the days that they were kickstarting all of their projects. I bought every single one of their products including the entire travel system but with the exception of the first messenger bag that they released, all of their bags have been sitting in my closet hardly getting used. This bag is no different. While the build quality is excellent and the improvements made to the bag are noticeable, I can't find this bag to be very useful for holding the following gear: Sony A7R3 with the 24-105G mounted Sony 100-300mm G Lens Sony 16-35mm Lens Surface Laptop 13 iPad Pro 11" First, the horizontal camera and lens pocket system is flawed in that it is too rigid and requires the entire row to be at the same height. That means that if you have physically smaller lenses (the 16-35mm) than others, they are flying around and there is nothing really to protect them other than the divider padding. There is no padding at the ends of the rows (where the pockets open up to) so the lenses are potentially banging up against whatever is in the pockets. I tried setting up the rows where the bottom row held the 100-300mm lens and the row above it held the camera with the 24-105mm lens attached and the 16-35mm lens and just could not get the setup right in a way that I felt the gear was protected. Also, that combination required the camera to be inserted sideways rather than lens first due to the length of the lens. There was plenty of room width wise but the dividers only allow you to split the row in the specific places that Peak Design chose. Past those two rows, there aren't any other dividers so if you really want to carry another lens, it needs to be in the compartment above the rest of the camera gear which is segmented by the top divider from the second row. Overall, I could not find a way to hold a basic setup. Another issue that I found was that while the 100-300mm fit quite easily into the bottom row, it took away from the laptop pocket in the back. That meant that my ultra lightweight and thin Surface Laptop 13 could not fit comfortably in the laptop pocket which is also where there is an iPad pocket and a sunglass pocket. Once I shoved both the laptop and the iPad into their respective pockets, the zipper at the top was incredibly hard to close and the back of the backpack became very rigid. Once I filled out the pockets with other items like a charger, memory card case, a couple of cables and a couple of batteries, it was clear that there wasn't a lot of room left for other essentials such as over the ears headphones, a book or snacks. The bag was extremely rigid at that point and it was hard to open up any of the zippers including the zippers to the side pockets which is the only way to get the camera and gear out. I believe that the main reason for this is due to the gear system that they use. I have the 30L as well and experienced the same issues as I described above. It is just a bigger bag but it is still not segmented correctly. I found a lot more luck in bags such as the MindShift Gear Backlight 26L Backpack where I can fit a lot more gear more securely and still fit my 15" Macbook Pro and iPad without any issues.

Dissapointed on the service provided by Amazon
Received wrong color item for 1st time, defect item for 2nd time. The end i spend almost 2 months tor receive a proper item and wasted alot of time for return, refund and coordinate with Amazon as most of them are not professional.
