I absolutely love these coasters. They absorb incredibly well. Glasses of iced water- not a problem. Since they absorb so well, there is no issue with the coaster sticking to the bottom of the glass. This set is a good, sturdy thickness. They don’t look cheap at all. I love the coloring, and the unique shape. My only suggestion is to buy a holder that completely goes across the bottom (I hope that makes sense). The recommended holder when I made my purchase had more of an open bottom. It’d be great for bigger coasters, but these had one corner constantly falling through and hitting the table.

These coasters were packed well, they are weighty- they stay put and don't stick to the bottom of the glass, and they ARE ABSORBENT. Been around the block with everything else- sick of it. I want a coaster that soaks up condensation so it doesn't pool around the bottom of the glass; doesn't stick to the bottom of the glass when you pick it up, looks classy and works. These coasters work PERFECTLY. They also have a thin padded (cork?) material on the bottom so they won't scratch surfaces. Finally real coasters.

I needed a Coaster for my iced coffee in the morning i was tired of having water rings on my desk. These absorb the water perfectly. I would recommend and buy again for sure. They are perfect quality, durable not too heavy. The video and the photo are only a couple minutes apart. They dry quickly so water wont accumulate and go over the coaster. Plus the color is nice.

I was searching for some new sandstone coasters. After almost 20 years, the original set of 4 I had needed some replacement as one got lost when I moved and another one cracked right in half when someone dropped it - again they were used for 20 years... The only thing I had an issue with is that all of the newer ones I came across are ginormous now - like 4 inches or more across. I really only need them for mugs and highballs. Plus I needed them to fit my original wooden holder too. These were the ONLY ones that do because of their shape and flattened edges - they 'just' fit! Plus my old ones were round - which was great - but these octagon-ally shaped ones are different and I like that. I avoided the square ones completely as that just seems wasteful as none of my glasses or mugs are square - plus then I assume the 4 corners have more of a chance of breaking or dinging or whatever. I only have two issues with these coasters - hence the 4 stars. First two out of the 6 are bigger then the other 4 - so stuck up slightly more in the holder above the others. Not too much of a big deal as 4 were the same size - I just put the larger ones in the kitchen to use on my breakfast table. Secondly the cork on the back of these coasters seems like no cork I have ever seen - and very dark too. I think maybe the back is a cork composite or something like that. My old ones always had a soft cork backing - soft to the touch, soft on the table - like most cork that you touch - it is soft. I rubbed these down a lot with my hands and some roughness of the cork seems to have subsided. I think, though, I am actually going to take a really fine sandpaper to them and see if that helps smooth the backing and make it a bit softer too. Maybe it is the glue they use - it hardens the cork? I dunno. Either way these look good and arrived safely and have a cool shape. I am looking forward to 20 plus years with these as well. I will update this review if I notice any issues with absorbency and stuff.

These sandstone coasters are quite heavy and sturdy. I’d assume if you dropped it, it would break and sturdy in the sense it would not easily move on the table. It is water absorbent so if your drink has water droplets on the side, the coaster will absorb it quickly and no pooling would occur for more than 5 seconds. Quality item and would repurchase again if needed!

Just received these beautiful sandstone octagon coasters , they are exactly as advertised!! They will suit my needs and look forward to not having my wet coasters fall of bottom of drink !! Fantastic ‘
