I purchased the three coolplay shocking pens. Received them today neither one will work. Shipped in a small Manila envelope no instructions, nothing but "made in China" Have you no shame. This product is crappie and Amazon should not allow you to sell anything on their platform. Gene Hall

The pens worked very well for shocking, and they also function for writing as well. Very light weight. Definitely fun for the kids. The only thing I can say is that they are easy to break if you twist them.

I ordered a few sets of these for joking with co-workers. Some pens worked better than others, some didn't work at all. Really a mixed bag of results. The ones that worked well were great, the ones that kind of worked were disappointing. They were cheap but still hoped for better results than I got. If you've got a few bucks order a couple of packs and find the ones that work best.

As described. But when these arrived the batteries was dead in all 3 pens. Not really intended for battery replacement, but did anyways takes 3 x LR41 button cell

This would work pretty good if you handed it off to someone. However, ambushing some one by putting it in their pen cup likely will not work. Pen hits pretty good. Enough to startle you, but not hurt. Once you know what it does, you can hold the button and feel the sensation with no issues. However, do not use it against a metal ring. I'm not an electrical, so electricity is still kind of black magic for me. However, I pushed the button against my wedding ring and, oh boy, that thing hit hard. Not enough to hurt me, but still scared me.
