Dorman 03131 Exhaust Stud Kit - M10-1.5 x 72 mm Compatible with Select Ford / Lincoln / Mercury Models

I bought these to replace a couple of exhaust flange studs of on my 2003 Thunderbird. Some mechanic who did some previous work put in two incorrect studs (and bent them to get an "almost" fit) and caused exhaust leaks which then tripped the DTC code for a faulty catalytic converter...Grrr!!! Anyway, these studs do not show up as a replacement part for the Thunderbird when you search for them, but it is a basic replacement part for exhaust work and is working just fine. I suggest you chase out the holes with a tap first before installing these. I also used a bit of anti-seize compound on the threads in case I ever have to replace them again...removing the old studs can be a bear. What else can I say, it's a stud! Too bad the mechanic did not use good judgment

These were the exact part I needed

Broke an exhaust flange stud on my 2007 Ford Mustang GT. These worked great. I used one of the studs to replace my broken one and then used all 4 of the new nuts to replace the old rusted ones. Only complaint is that there is not the raised hex portion to control the flange distance from the manifold. You just have to visually check the balance between the upper and lower nut as you tighten them down. Don't forget to throw some anti-seize on the studs and nuts to add disassembly down the road.

Exact match for exhaust manifold to cat. Only thing is no spacer for initial install. Measurements are required for good seals.

Probably something, but these worked well to replace the factory studs on my 1992 Corvette LT1, they are shown as a replacement for a Ford Manifold. nice hardware. Good Value.

Snapped a couple off when I had to drop the exhaust to get my transmission out. Installed no problem, still holding strong. I slathered them in anti-seize when I did, so hopefully breaking another set of studs will be a non-issue if I have to drop the exhaust again.

Fast delivery, fair price and glad I had them before starting the job! I ended up snapping two of the original studs.
