I have bought MERCON LV multiple times over the past 12 years because I do my own transmission service. On my car its a drain and fill. Pass 15 quarts through it yeah its gonna get clean and cheaper than having it done at the dealership. High quality product great price.

Fast shipping and packaged well for no leaks. Drained and filled a 2015 Ford Explorer Transmission and added Lucas Transmission Additive due to the mileage 208k miles. Helped with the sluggish shifting and OEM oil.

Was looking to change my own transmission. Before buying it, I watch a few how-to-videos to make sure it was do-able and also to male sure I had all the necessary tools. After watching the first one I knew it was something I could do. I fist went to Ford and tried to buy individual quarts of this transmission fluid. I then checked on Amazon and found it cheaper. Bought and received it in 2 days. This weekend I woke up early and decided to do it. It was easy; unscrewed the drain plug ( make sure it is the transmission plug and not the engine oil one, they are near each other) let it drain for a while, maybe 30 minutes. Cleaned the plug and put some threadlocker on it and screwed it back on, not too tight. Used along funnel to add the fluid. I have a 2014 Ford escape se 2.0 turbo engine and I added exactly 4.5 quarta of this Mercon LV. After doing so, i took it for a drive to get the fluid nice and hot. Came back and left the car idleing. I then jacked up the car and removed the driver side wheel. The cat must be level before to make sure you check sure you have the correct amount of fluid in there. There is leveling plug on one side of the transmission that you will need to remove with a socket wrench and a long extension. Be careful because it is hot. Once you pull out the plug you will see the fluid coming out, this means thatit is leveling out. Once the fluid only trickles out, go ahead and put the plug back in, install the tire and you are set.
