Great candy that is different than what you typically find in the U.S.A..
Candy has a great flavor. Not sure I really taste pear. It kind of reminds me of banana Laffy-Taffy.

Lots of flavor!!
What a treat.!! I found these wonderful hard candies when I was stationed overseas and was thrilled when I found them again on Amazon! They last long,are FULL of fresh pear flavor. Like right off the tree. You should try them!!!!!

Duchess-ey, but not exactly...
In case you didn't realize, it's not supposed to taste like pears you buy at the grocery store. The idea was to replicate the taste of a Soviet era carbonated drink named "Duchess". And once the USSR fell apart, a lot of popular old recipes got either lost, or stuck in a patent limbo, so this is not an exact replica of the Cold War era flavoring. Close enough though, I'll give it 4 out of 5.

Sounded good in text, but in reality…
Good taste at first, then this off (chemical/fake sweetener) taste for the majority of the candy dissolving in your mouth leaves a horrible aftertaste that noticeably lasts for 10-20 minutes… Offered some family and friends a couple to get their opinions and they all said similar things, thus I was left with probably two pounds of gross candy…

Not Pear
Packaging and presentation were okay, but the main issue is the taste. I do not get pear at all, but rather a melon-like flavor that doesn't taste natural at all.
