The Fargo HDP6600 has been working well.
This printer has been working well for printing employee badges. Because it uses the retransfer system it does not have problems printing over the embedded RFID chip that is used for door entry. Card Imaging provides tech support after a purchase of a printer from them. They were very helpful when I called them about a certain setting I needed to use in configuring the driver for the printer.

Make sure whoever is delivering the printer that they take care not to break it.
The printer was brought to me on a uhaul. Thrown on the porch like a sack of trash. All of the cards that came with the printer were broken open and they were covered in dirt and dust. The inside of the printer was dusty and as u can see i ran two cards through the printer and the roller is covered in dust and the cards were not good. Ive heard great things about the printer but i will be returning this item.

Outstanding Printer
When we decided to upgrade our current badge printer from direct-to-card to retransfer technology, we did extensive research on the options available to us. We ultimately decided on this printer because it represented the sweet spot of features, speed, and price. We couldn't be happier with our choice. From initial set up, to ease of use, to qualify of printing, it's been a great printer.

Great Printer, Even Better Service
So far it's been a great printer with the best price, too. And the the service has been outstanding. I called one day to get some guidance on the card printing software, AND THE OWNER ANSWERED THE PHONE AND HELPED ME! Being a business owner myself, I appreciate this very much. They've really treated me well, and I will definitely buy from them again.

Excellent Retransfer Badge Printer
Great badge printer. If you have an issue with uneven printing this type of printer is your solution! We had the cheaper Fargo printers that print directly to the card and had inconsistent prints. This style printer places the image on a layer of film which is then applied to the card, eliminating inconsistencies. We upgraded to these over the last year and we are exceptionally happy! I highly recommend this model and the reseller we used through Amazon is an authorized distributor so the manufacturers warranty and support are available. Be careful to ensure the same when you order.
