There were no instructions on what to do with the two black plastic strips but there are plenty of videos on YouTube and I manged to put them in the right place. All in all its what I expected and should work fine.

The car waste bin is the perfect size for the rear of the passenger seat. Alas the bags that are shown on various videos were not received. No assembly or installation, flexible placement within the vehicle, thoughtful loop-and-hook strip that adheres easily to cloth upholstered, and nicely expandable opening for dropping stuff in. No lids to deal with, only one hand needed to use. Well made, well designed, qualiry materials, and if black fits your interior, this item is for you. Well worth the money.
