12"x12" Magnetic Wooden Chess Set

Checks all the boxes: - good quality - magnetic - algebraic notation - perfect size and portable (12 in) - pleasing to the eye - magnetic checkers pieces Only complaint is that if it is not on a fully flat surface, it will awkwardly bend in the middle. But that’s what you get when ordering a foldable board

Gift for grandson (11 years old) for Christmas. He and his father have a nightly chess game, so nice. He loves how portable it is and he is now teaching his 7 year old brother how to play.

I bought this for my husband's birthday and he loves it! He's been teaching our 5 year old to play and the magnets help keep the pieces on the board. We especially like that there are slots for each piece so we know we have them alland they don't get all mixed up during storage. Our two year old managed to sneak the chess set and lose to pieces so we contacted the seller to see if the could sell us the individual pieces and she was kind enough to send us the two we were missing. Awesome company and great chess board!

I have been using this magnetic wood chess set for a year, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are impressive, and the use of wood gives it a classic and timeless look. The magnets are strong enough to keep the pieces in place, even when the board is tilted or moved around. This is great for playing chess on the go, as it eliminates the need to worry about pieces falling off or getting lost. The size of the set is also perfect, as it is compact enough to carry around, but still large enough for comfortable gameplay. Overall, I highly recommend this magnetic wood chess set to anyone looking for a unique and high-quality chess set.

My daughter is obsessed with chess. This is perfect since pieces are magnetic. Brought it on a plane and no pieces lost.

A little thicker when folded than expected, and it would be nice if it locks in the open position when it's opened up. Otherwise it's such a nice board for the price and I'm extremely happy with it so I gave it a five star rating. I didn't have any problem with the pieces not being magnetic, they stick well enough for use on an airplane. I like to play it on the airplane with my daughter when we travel. For use on an airplane I recommend keeping a little container or Ziploc bag or something with it. This makes it easier to transfer the pieces out of the case when setting up the board. As long as the manufacturer has good quality control, you should expect to get a pretty nice board.

I am really happy with this chess set for my child. The magnetic pieces are nice so that they are not accidentally knocked over during a game. Also each piece has a slot, so it's nice to make sure you have them all and no pieces get lost. It is very sturdy and I am happy with this purchase.

I love this product. It is lighter than I thought it would be. But the wood is beautiful. My favorite part is the magnetic feature. Often when I playing chess someone might bump the board and pieces move or our counseling session is over and we need to pause the game. This makes it super easy to keep moves in place without disruption even if it needs to be moved to different table. Also I loved the carrying case and checker pieces it comes with . While I don't currently carry it out of my office, I could if I needed to and I know that all the pieces would arrive to their destination safely.
