tldr: BUY THE FREAKING BOOK. it’s beast boy, who’s my second favorite character. plus gabriel piccolo, who’s my favorite artist. add kami garcia, who’s a great writer, and it’s literally one of the greatest books in existence, i kid you not. in my opinion, the picolo/garcia teen titans series is essential for EVERY teen titans fan. in fact, these books would be great for someone who’s never even seen teen titans…the graphic novels got me into the show lol. however, i do recommend reading it in order. not that i read them out of order or anything…heh… read it!! and kami & gabriel deserve so much recognition for this series, it really is so good. it’s really refreshing to see REALISTIC teenage “superheroes.” pumped for the starfire book!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 13 year old does not like to read at all. I purchased this book for my daughter and she read it right away that day and asked for the whole series. Highly recommended for Teen Titans fans. She absolutely loved the artwork in the book, she said, " The artwork is incredible." Even if you are not a fan of Teen Titans, this series of books may sway any comic lover. My daughter can't wait for the new releases to come out.

I liked the Teen Titans: Raven book a lot, but I think Beast Boy's story is the best book by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo at this point. The pictures are stunning and the story is moving and funny, with lots of important characterizations of Gar Logan (Beast Boy). Gar Logan is often underutilized by DC, and I'm thrilled as a long-time fan of the character to see him portrayed so well and with so much depth.

"Teen Titans: Beast Boy" is not exactly what you'd expect from a superhero origin story, but I loved every single minute of it. I've read Teen Titans comics in the past and the best characterizations of Gar is when he has depth, not just a prankster and jokester. While I've read and enjoyed the creators' other graphic novel, "Teen Titans: Raven", I honestly believe that Gar got more characterization and love put into him than his future teammate. I'm glad that the author decided to discuss body image in boys, as that's rarely discussed in YA. You can tell that the writing style is meant for lower level readers, much like "Raven." It's very easy to understand and follow. I will probably always love Gabriel Picolo's art, as I've been following him for years and will continue to do so. A solid read for newbies and veterans of DC Comics.

4 stars - It was really good Garfield “Gar” Logan is trying to impress the popular kids and experience popularity before he leaves high school. What he doesn’t expect is for his body to start drastically growing and changing into wild animals. Gar is struggling with common high school issues, like popularity, crushes, and changing bodies. I think Gar’s obsession with being a popular kid was a little much, but at the same time, I can understand it because I remember people who were like that in high school. I liked that Gar frequently tried to do the right thing, but didn’t always think out his actions before he did them. He was reckless but a good teen at heart. The color palette and art style were again beautiful for this comic. I love how there were a lot of green undertones to match Beast Boy, just like Ravens were purple. I am really interested in seeing what is going to happen with the meeting with Slade now. Also I can’t wait to see Beast Boy and Raven together!

As a huge Beast Boy fan, 10/10 highly recommend this!!! Potential little spoiler, we know their are different storylines of how Garfield became green, via the Young Justice blood transfusion, or the comics with the injection from his parents, this does follow one of them but I will not say which. It's still a fantastic read and modern twist on the characters we love, but also still sticking to the original story too.

Absolutely amazing series I highly recommend! I read it on the kindle app but I wish I could've afforded the physical copies I bet they're gorgeous.

good graphic novels. The artwork is amazing, but the story line is aimed more for the 9-13 year old age group. So you can gift it to your nephew or niece who likes graphic novels and comic books.

Assim como Raven, é perfeito!! Traz a história do Gar quando ele descobre seus poderes, em meio a dramas adolescentes. A visão dele é muito realista, os amigos são maravilhosos, e a história é envolvente. Muito bom, recomendo.
