Pens for Lettering
I bought this set for working on modern calligraphy and Lettering. Im a beginner though, and right now im finding more success with the Fudenosuke SOFT tipped pens than these hard tipped pens. Perhaps as I improve my skills in lettering, the hard tipped pens will be easier to use. Love the color assortment and the Tombow brand is reliable for quality.

Excellent brush pens
Excellent brush pens. I purchased these to be companions to an online modern calligraphy course. They worked perfectly. Good pigmentation and quality brush tips.

Will buy again! Great pens!
Love these! I had already had a black one that has lasted me years and when trying to find a new black one I found these and they are wonderful! I prefer the hard tip Tombow pens over the soft as they last long and to me look good over time. The ink flow is great and colors are nice. Great to just write with or have fun coloring small details. Highly recommend and I will buy these again!

Decent pens for Chinese writing practice
I recently purchased these colored pens for my Chinese writing practice, hoping they would provide more precision than a felt tip brush marker with a fine point. While these pens do offer the ability to create thicker or thinner lines depending on how they are grasped, they aren’t without their drawbacks. Firstly, they work fairly well for the most part. The fine point allows for precise strokes, and with some practice, you can achieve a calligraphy effect. However, it takes a bit of trial and error to master making the lines thinner or thicker. Unfortunately, more often than not, they end up producing the same flat, straight thin line. One major issue I found is that the colors are not very saturated. The lighter hues, such as orange and yellow, are hardly visible on white lined notebook paper. This can be quite frustrating if you’re aiming for vibrant and clear writing. Additionally, if the pen is angled improperly, the color doesn’t come out at all, which can disrupt the writing flow. On the positive side, for the price, these pens are a good choice for practicing kanji, katakana, hiragana, hanzi, and hangul. They provide a decent level of precision and flexibility for beginners. However, for those looking to achieve real mastery of lettering, a fine tip brush pen would be a better investment. In summary, these colored pens are a decent budget option for basic practice, but their limitations in color saturation and line variation might leave more advanced users wanting more.

Great pens!
I am a beginner teaching myself hand lettering and wanted to get some colors. I already had these same pens in black but wanted to add more fun to my practice with pops of color. I saw a lot of people wished they were more vibrant and if you expect the color to match the vibrant cap you will be disappointed. However, I prefer the colors a little softer so I love the shades they come in! Easy to use and beautiful colors.

Great for beginner brush lettering: not too hard, not too soft
I recently started brush lettering and bought a duo pack with one Tombow Fudenosuke brushpen “hard” and one “soft”, both in black. I found the hard one easier to use. A website I was using for learning recommended Pentel touch pens, so I bought a 6-pack of those. But they are “juicier” than the Tombows, which makes making thin lines a little harder. When I saw this colorful 10-pack of “hard” Tombows at a really low price (less than $12), I just had to get them, and I love them.

Great for calligraphy!
Great for calligraphy!! I haven’t tried them for Bible journaling but am hoping they don’t bleed because these will definitely be my favorite pens if they don’t! I have a large variety of pens and pencils but these are my favorite so far!

Top 3
I love these pens. Easily my top 3 coloured brush tips. They are finer than pental but they have good variation. Excellent for learners as they are TOUGH!

Work well, nice colours
These are incredible!! Colours are great (a little on the duller side but gorgeous nonetheless), they're a nice thin pen, and they write smoothly. Bought them assuming they were soft tip like my black ones, noticed they were hard right after I'd ordered them, but I decided to keep them and give them a try. I love them!! Best calligraphy pens I've ever bought
