Would the always on feature kill your phone battery

If you leave your pokemon app running all the time, then yes (tho that's mostly the game draining your phone). Otherwise, it doesn't do anything with your phone if the app is closed. Actually, even if you left Pogo running it automatically disconnects after an hour.

Is there an option to have this device only spin pokestops and not attempt to catch any Pokémon?

No. Your only options are power on/off, sound on/off, vibration on/off. If you don't want it to catch pokemon, just empty your regular pokeball inventory, if you don't have red pokeballs, it will only spin pokestops, however if you get red pokeballs as loot, it will catch pokemon until you are at Zero again.

Does this work with google Pixels?

I use samsung phone and they work.. But I'm thinking it should work with any android phone That has Bluetooth
