I have DeQuervain Tendinitis and was prescribed a brace by my doctor. However, the brace ended at the base of my hand and didn't offer any support for my wrist. Also, the skin between my thumb and hand was rubbed raw by the strap so I had to wear a glove under the brace. I have the smaller one of these braces and I like it. However, it isn't long enough to give my joints a rest at night.I decided to order this one (without the stabilizing inserts). I just love it. It's long enough to immobilize the wrist/hand yet isn't stiff and confining. It's cool, flexible if you need to move your thumb, and very comfortable all night long. And - it's adjustable and comfortable.It's a bit confusing to put on your wrist the first time.
