Principles of Managerial Finance Brief Edition

This is a very well thought out math book for people that have a low aptitude in Math. Great example to follow to get the right answer. you can almost pass this class without the instructor. I recommend this class to everybody learning corporate finance and personal business. I was very impress with the book and the instructor was excellent with the book. Plus My finance Lab is an excellent program with this book. It was very easy to follow the example's and it also have a show me how to solve the problem program step by step. How could you not pass this class.

I found the book to be interesting but some of the material was hard to grasp and unless you have some additional and supplemental material from your instructor this would only make it more difficult to understand. Another problem is the fact that there is no student solutions manual available to purchase with this book and there are only a few answers provided at the end of the book for end of chapter problems. I found the book almost as demanding as a calculus book so a solutions manual would be appropriate. I have a understanding of finance and accounting and yet I found the material somewhat hard to grasp so I can imagine how difficult it would be for a novice. The material needs to be presented in a better fashion and more examples need to be given for different scenarios.

As far as Finance textbooks go, this one isn't too bad. The examples are pretty good, and a lot of the key concepts are broken out in the margin for easy access. I'm not sure what the difference is between the full book and the brief version, but this one got me through just fine.

Having to be forced to read this wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be when it was assigned to our class. There's a few issues which apparently are as an errata add on that I didn't know about. Of course it was an assigned problem so things didn't quite line up.

The book is great. Shipment was quick and easy. Now I am able to get all of my work done.

Whoever proofed this book should be fired. And, they should not keep using this book in managerial finance classes. I am on chapter 5 and I have found 2 typos already! Made me miss questions I shouldn't have gotten wrong if the formulas were correct. This book should be taken off the shelves and everyone's money should be refunded!!

I was a bit surprised to see it come looseleaf with hole punched, rather than a regular soft cover book. Can't beat the price though and it's actually working out great because I can put my homework and notes with the corresponding chapters.
