Great basic carpet kicker.
This is a great need kicker for a carpet. Not a lot of frills but it does the job and it is not uncomfortable to use it. Works terrific on medium pile carpet… I used it on both Berber and regular carpet and it didn’t let me down. I can’t believe I actually rented one of these last time I needed one and it was more expensive than buying this one, lol.

Worked well, easy to use, good value
Compared to most of the other options out there, this was a very good value. It worked fine for some small areas / fixes. Not really designed for laying down a full room of new carpet, though if you had nothing else you could make do with this and it would be way better than no stretching method. Ideal for a closet type area or re-stretching and fixing some loose carpet.

It's excellent for the price.
It's not the most padded kicker, but it works great for small jobs. I couldn't imagine using this for extended periods of time.

Works
This product worked very well for my artificial turf project! I did not want to spend a lot on this project, and this tool fit the bill!!

Not bad for the money
It is hard to give an honest review as this is the first carpet stretcher I have used. Not sure this would last with everyday use but for what I needed it for (small stretching in 3 rooms), I bought this cheaper than I could have paid someone to do this small job. It worked great for me.

Good solution for us frugal do it yourself types!
Fixed the loose carpet in a walk-in closet. My first time stretching a carpet. The stretching got better through some technique trial and error. I have some other areas in the house to stretch as well. One of those power stretchers would of course work much better, but this is a good frugal solution. One recommendation for anyone new to carpet stretching with a kicker, wear jeans or other durable long pants. I got a nasty rug burn on my knee while wearing shorts. Also, a rubber mallet works well for some tight spaces that don't allow you to get your leg back for the kick.

Economy Carpet Stretcher Works!
We had to pull up our basement carpet for a leaking foundation during heavy rains. It was impossible to put the carpet back in place without this knee kicker. I highly recommend this item if you need to put your carpet back in place. It is an inexpensive fix and easy to use. Much cheaper than paying someone to stretch your carpet back in place.

Sufficient for my project
I purchased the kicker to put carpet back after a water leak. I figured it was cheaper to buy the tool rather than paying someone. I see other kickers selling for double the price. This kicker does not have an adjustable head for the tines for grip the carpet. The pad is somewhat rough and you will probably want to be wearing clothing over skin contacting pad. Pad isn't super soft but works. Kicker holds carpet secure while kicking and I had no trouble with it slipping. I only had about 20' of carpet to put back on tack strips. I'm not sure I would recommend for larger jobs, commercial or everyday use.

Works very well and I was able to remove quite deep creases from a carpet using it. It really doesn’t take much of a “kick” to stretch the carpet the small amount needed and I found the padding was plenty to absorb any shock to the knees. (Actually it’s not the knee that hits it anyway, it’s the thigh just above the knee which is less likely to bruise or damage). My only adverse comment is that the teeth aren’t adjustable and not especially long and might not grip on a really deep pile but I had no problem on a fairly thick carpet nonetheless. There are many vendors of this item using different names for the same thing so search around for the best price (this one has actually doubled in price in only a week!!!).
