Vive 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter - Electric Powered Wheelchair Device

Edit to add: My mother absolutely loves this scooter and has named it "Rosebud". This product was easy to put together. It was also easy for my mother to learn to use. She loves the appearance of it. She can go anywhere in her house with it with the tight turn radius. She can use it indoors and on mostly level surfaces outdoors. It has adjustable speed controls so she could keep up with someone who walks faster. Plenty of safety features, but be careful on uneven surfaces. It has an alarm that activates if it spins out on loose gravel, but it looks as though it could tip to the left or right on an incline. I usually walk beside my mom and help direct her to the most level area to prevent it from tipping over when going up and down the gravel driveway. It has a good battery life as well. I can easily disassemble and put it into the vehicle for use away from home, but the parts might be too heavy for someone with back or shoulder issues. Overall very pleased with the product.

I was hesitant because of the bad reviews! But glad I bought it because it works the same as my other vive scooter but half the price that I paid for it! I’m 275lbs and works just fine for me! I’ve had it a week now and haven’t even had to charge it yet!

I was planning an upcoming cruise and was going to rent a scooter on the ship because I knew I couldn't do all that walking with the neuropathy in my feet. I had been looking at these on Amazon, because I knew it was only a matter of time before I needed to own my own. Even stores that offer electric scooters have issues. Either there are none available or, they all have dead batteries and or bad sensors. This model does not disappoint. It loads in easily in and out of my Honda Element and slides right in behind my front seats with the back seats folded up. I can load and unload it by myself and I'm a 68-year-old woman. I highly recommend the Honda Element, too. As you can see from the photo, I had a non ADA compliant cabin on the ship and was still able to park my scooter inside it. The doorway was tight, but it fit. I installed a bicycle bell on the basket within easy reach (too small for the handlebar) to warn people on the ship that I was behind them or approaching to prevent anyone from falling over me. It was a big hit and kids loved it. 🙂 This doesn't have the turning radius of store scooters, but I learned to work with it quickly. I find it easier to bungee cord a grocery basket to the back of my scooter at the grocery store, Sam's, Lowe's, etc because I know that I'll have no drama with the scooter stranding me in the back of the store with a loaded cart so always carry an 18" rubber bungee cord. I keep one in the basket. This is not a paid review and I received no discounts or compensation for it. I just love this scooter because it has opened up my world again. I'll be able to go to county fairs and carnivals again that I haven't been able to attend for the last 5 years because my neuropathy has gotten so bad. I could either wait for Medicare to maybe approve one of these, and it may not be this lightweight, or go ahead and pull the trigger and buy it myself. The cost to rent a scooter for my 5-day Cruise was $250 and that led me to pull the trigger on this. No regrets, I absolutely love it and named it Flash. I ordered the custom decal from Amazon too. If you need a scooter to get around, and don't weigh over 250 lb, this is the way to go. Race ya to the gate!

We purchased this Vive Scooter to replace a Pride Elite Go Go Traveler scooter we brought back in 2014. The brake locking wasn't working and the repair cost was more than this Vive scooter we purchased. After using this new Vive scooter for a couple of months now I will give a comparison to our old Pride scooter. Like most things in life there are trade-offs and pros and cons. We were very pleased with the Pride scooter until the brake locking got to be a hazard. So lets get to the pros and cons as compared to the Pride Mobility Scooter: Pros for the Vive Scooter: It will go off payment where the Pride Scooter would not go in grass, or anything but pavement. The Vive seat is a lot lighter to lift than the Pride. The Vive has lights, a louder horn. It has a smaller/lighter battery box. Battery life has been excellent using it on trips to the grocery stores, Big box stores, errands, etc. It has a large front basket It has plenty of power for a small scooter. It has slightly better ground clearance. Cons: It has a very loud beep when turning it on (I know, its just an annoying thing that causes everybody around to look at you when you turn it on) Removing the battery and the seat are no problem, but if you have to break the bottom down you have to unscrew a cable and then use some force to break it apart. The Pride uses a lever and it easily comes apart. In the rain you're going to get wet while you take the Vive apart. We have a minivan and I am able to lift the entire scooter less the seat and battery into the Sienna Van. (I am in my late 70s) While I have gotten used to it now, the battery box takes some pushing on to get it to seat. It come with a screw down plate that holds it tight, but the Pride scooter battery just dropped right in. So, on the Vive you often have to "fiddle" with the battery box to get it to work. Seat to foot rest distance is a little shorter on the Vive vs the Pride. If you are a tall or large person you might want a bigger scooter. The turning radius on the Vive is a lot greater than the Pride. My wife finds this aggravating in small places where she has to back up, pull forward several times to get out of say a restroom or somewhere confined.. Over all, We are very happy with the Vive Scooter. Especially since the Vive is about half the cost of the Pride. As for longevity, I can speak since we've only had it a couple of months. The Vive seems well made. I replaced the batteries in the Pride scooter several times over the year with batteries purchase from Amazon for about $60 each time. We'll see how these do over on the Vive. If you are an average sized person (give or take) I think this Vive Scooter will meet your mobility needs. If you have the extra money and demand the best, then the Pride Elite Go Go Traveler is a little better.

My scooter was easy to assemble. My husband is able to put it in and out out of the vehicle and the seat is removable. However the charging cable is not too reliable, had to replace mine and it still not too reliable. Battery life is ok but, runs slow on carpet. Very easy to operate.

I was still in denial about my ability to walk and had been using a walker until I fell and broke my arm. I got this scooter because my brother recommended it and now I'm very glad I did because I am non-ambulatory and would be in a much more expensive wheelchair if I didn't have this scooter. It's small enough to maneuver around the inside of my 1200 sq ft house, is electric and the chair swivels so I can transfer to bed or the toilet with ease. It has headlights to get around in the house at night without turning house lights on and it folds easily and fits in the trunk of a small Ford Fiesta.

I ordered this for my husband because he broke his ankle and with the cast and two bad shoulders, neither a knee cart or wheelchair were doable. My husband actually put the whole thing together himself! Given his conditions above, that means it's a very well made machine and pretty easy to put together. It rides smoothly and maneuvers easily in our house. We haven't taken it outside yet. My only issue is that there's no way to quiet that loud beep. If there were a speaker we could cover it with tape. The noise it makes sounds exactly like a smoke detector, so it's quiet startling and scares us as well as the cat. Customer service was quick to respond via chat. They told me we could follow a video they sent to disengage the wires. The downside being it wouldn't beep for anything... meaning no low battery alert, no horn and would not warn us of other potential problems. Actually thinking of doing it. So despite the loud beep( turning it on, or forgetting to shut it off when idle) it is very nice. Well built, sturdy, easy assembly, simple to drive and has good turning radius. Glad we bought this one!

Delivery was quick. Customer service was responsive: the initial scooter’s brake did not work, contacted them by email and received immediate response with three options (1, ship it back and they would provide another-0 shipping, 2, they would ship the part and they would pay part of the cost for mechanic to do the work, or 3, I could replace it… we choose number 1). Second scooter worked real well. We have finally ran a full test on it, using it at Disney World. We started getting the flashing red on the scooter at (these are based on my pedometer, wife was driving and I was walking): 9.9 miles, 9.1 miles, 9.2 miles, 9 miles, 8.8 miles. So the number of miles we are getting from a full charge seems to be going down each day. My wife (she uses the scooter) did not like the feel of the seat (lack of cushion). We did buy a cushion, which she likes. We also bought a command strip, that is made to hold broom sticks, to use for her cane (attached to the side of the basket). The scooter does have good speed and is able to handle hills well (haven’t tried it on any major ones… Florida is rather flat). I would rate the scooter a 4-4.5 stars out of 5 (this is purely based on its current price point, if the scooter costed twice as much, this rating would be much less). It would be a solid 5 if the battery was better. I would even consider it a 5 if I was able to replace the battery with a standard size Lithium (however, the molded shape of the battery compartment makes this impossible-I believe). I also which the battery showed a charge percentage. I would recommend the company making the scooter upgradable (e.g., better battery, battery charge indicator, higher back, or canopy).

I was at first very pleased on receipt of this scooter. I had used it every day since march. Imagine my horror when I switched it on in the bathroom to find it completely dead. I managed to get back to my room and get onto my spare one, but as an OAP and completely iMobile I was frightened. I contacted Vive who replied very quickly telling me what to do, by pressing a reset button.but I'm reluctant to use it Incase it happens again. I don't know what the answer is. But be aware of this happening if you purchase one. Over all before this happened I was very pleased with it , it is a good looking machine and seemed to work well.
