These filters fit the water fountain that my cats use, "Cat Mate." I change the water and wash the fountain every day, and I use a new filter every three weeks. I probably wouldn't need to clean the fountain every day because the filter works well, but I do; I want the best for my kitties.

These cartridges fit the Cat Mate Pet Fountain, 70 fl. ounce that you can purchase on amazon.com. I have had this water fountain for my cats for a while now and they won't drink out of anything except for this fountain. So now I change the filter about every 3 weeks but sometimes 4 weeks and my two cats have no issues drinking the water the entire time. The price is good and the filters last a decent amount of time. The filters pretty much catch anything the cats will drop in there while they drink or dump their heads. If you have a Cat Mate fountain, I recommend these as they will definitely do the job! They fit and work very well. They also seem to be well-made and were in perfect condition when they arrive every time I order them. I think the price is very fair too...5 stars!!!

Works great with the petmate fountain and keeps my dogs' water as clean as possible given all the slobber :p

I’ve used Cat Mate / Dog Mate fountains for many years for my cats so I’ve gone through hundreds of these filters. They’re necessary to keep the water fresh but you absolutely must clean the fountain once per week (motor included), change the filter each week, and it helps to dump the water out and refresh it midweek. Your pets need access to clean water and fortunately it only takes 5-10 minutes to clean the fountain (but the OXO small appliance cleaning brushes to make it easier). The filters which are more expensive and say they last multiple weeks are misleading - you will get mildew and mold. These name brand blue filters are far superior to knock off brands which I’ve found shed white particles into the water. All that said, the health benefits of encouraging cats to drink more water are worth the efforts.

Been totally honest with you the filters that I bought these filters I have not used because the water feature that I bought is loud not super loud but it's not quiet like they said it was and I have not yet Revisited that water feature it's for cats to drink out of and to see if these new filters would work well so I cannot give an honest opinion on them but I could tell you that the motor for this particular cat water device is the humming is loud it's not that it makes a lot of noise like a racket but it hums real loud so it's not been used I have to get back to it so I'm still giving them five stars because they're well made and I believe that they are good filters as filters go but I haven't used them as some of you may say well then how can you even give five stars well that's what I choose to do and I'm being as honest as I can with you

I had purchased a cheaper dupe for the drinking fountain and the charcoal kept seeping into the cat's water. This brand is the way to go. Doesn't leak, lasts the correct amount of time. Beautiful

I’ve bought these filters over three times now, as the Cat Mate fountain is my kitties’ favorite fountain by far! I use one filter for a whole month, but I do still clean the fountain every week. I also rinse the filter before using it for the first time! Using a filter keeps the fountain and water cleaner which makes the fountain in turn easier to clean at the end of the week! I’ve never had any issues with them any of the times I’ve purchased!

Exactly what I needed! Life span about month depending on time of year for me. Rinse in between, I throw away after 2nd use
