TLM 103 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone - Nickel

Sounds so beautiful. Really really picks up everything, so make sure your room is treated or quiet.

I do enjoy this mic. It's as indescribable as it is certain. I just dig it, my third one to go with a 107.

I use it for voice overs and recording acoustic (Martin) guitars. This microphone has a good reputation and it is well earned. Is it worth more than the MXL? Maybe. I'm not professional enough to tell the difference. But this is a warm mic that has good dynamic range. I really like it.

Got what was advertised, no problems so far other than a minor scuff in wood box

First, despite what it says in the description, this is not a "dynamic" mic. It is a condenser mic. I just bought my second one, so now I have a pair for drum overheads or vibraphone, anything where you want to capture a stereo image. This mic sounds excellent on everything I have tried it on, even a guitar amp where I would generally use a dynamic like an SM-57. I think it's a great bang for the buck and I recommend it highly.

I hear this to be crystal clear, but I wish the lows were a tad bit warmer otherwise as good as 10-15k mics

Item took almost one month to arrive. However, when it did arrive, it was all in good condition and represented excellent value for money. I previously gave a one star review….because I was thinking that I would never see the mic…but then it arrived and I have to say: Well done. It even came with the Neumann Shock Mount, which I wasn’t expecting. A great mic, for a great price. Thank you. (I’d give it 5 stars if it hadn’t taken 4 weeks to arrive.)
