Very great, looks handsome, sharp, and comfortable shaving and heat feels great just the blades are expensive

I don't know why I pushed this off for so long. Finally bought it on Prime day as a gift for myself for Christmas. Incredible shave - feels like a hot towel shave, and the blade makes it so buttery smooth to shave with. I shave everyday, and look forward to every morning with this razor.

This is by far the best shave I’ve ever had. Expensive but very good shave. I was expecting a vibrating razor since it was a Gillette. It does what it said it’s gonna do. Warms up fast feels very good in the hand and is very sharp.

The Gillette Heated Razor is the best razor I have ever had the liberty to use on my sensitive face. This razor cuts close to my skin and with no irritation. There's no pulling of hair, no razor bumps or bleeding from cuts or such. I don't have to press hard or shave the same spots over and over. The charging stand charges phenomenally, looks amazing and the razor works 6-8 times before needing charged again. The travel charger works really well and as a bonus, is also a convenient way to store the razor for travel. Every razor I have used up to this point caused a problem or failed to work well. This one gets rid of the air but all while leaving my skin perfectly fine. No hair & no irritation therefore I can't ask for anything better. Some complain about the price but I have learned in my life that the majority of time you get what you pay for. Hence, my lack of success for everything cheaper up to this point but not anymore! Cheaper would be better but not at the risk of quality. I can say that as it removes my hair I don't even feel it doing anything. Yet the hair goes bye bye and I don't feel or see a thing other than a gliding heated razor. Absolutely love this razor and will continue to be an ambassador for the razor and brand. Highly recommended product!

The end results are the same as the regular Gillette labs razor and the Gillette Pro-Glide, but the actual shaving experience way better It’s equivalent to swishing your razor into hot water, but you don’t have to do it every stroke. You can just keep going without any downtime Heats up instantly. No cooldown time. Handle is way bigger (probably due to rechargeable battery) giving those with larger hands; providing better grip The stand is okay. Have some heft to it. It does take up counter space if you plan to use it. Plus is also very large and protrudes out Cartridges are the same as the regular Gillette labs. The heating mechanism is actually in strip under the replacement razor A bit expensive, but may be worth it for those who like to save time (not having to dip and swoosh in hot water every stroke) for a better shaving experience while using the razor

So, like many people who reviewed this item shortly after buying it, I too thought it was great - hence the misleading star rating. However - beware! After just 2 years this product has failed. In essence the battery dies and all you are left with is a very expensive handle. Gillette seem well aware of the issue and straight off the bat they offer you a paltry 20% discount off a new one without so much as asking a question. What with inflation you still end up paying more for the replacement than you did for the original. So, if you're up for emptying your coffers and filling Gillette's coffers by paying them $150 every 2 years then go for it, if you're blessed with more common sense then look elsewhere. There are many others complaining about this issue on other forums too. Gillette - you should be ashamed of yourselves for putting a product out there which you know doesn't last. Frankly I'm surprised there has been no class action suit taken up on this.

I’ve used just about every method of shaving. You can imagine (double edge safety razor, electric razors). After a few years of using a Panasonic Arc5, Arc6, Braun Series 9 electric razors, I was getting tired of razor burn, bumps and boring shave routines. In steps this Gillette heated razor! I can’t describe in words, the feeling you feel of joy when you use this heated razor. This makes you feel like you are receiving the King’s shave in the morning or whenever you shave. Stop reading this review and buy this razor. You will not be disappointed. Yes it’s pricey but we men have very little things to splurge on ourselves for. The heat helps open up your pores, thus making you less prone to ingrown hairs and razor bumps. I use Jack Black triple cushion shaving cream and a Muehle badger hair brush. Use the best lather/shave cream money can buy so you will get an awesome smooth buttery shave. The heat is really a nice feature and it does feel like a hot towel shave. Two passes and I’m done and have a glass smooth face. Gillette truly is the best a man can get. (Or the best a man’s wife can get him lol!)

I’ve only used it once so far but it was absolutely amazing. I even shared it on Facebook for friends to see. I have a bald head so it was the best. I get bad razor burn on my neck and it made the shave feel 10x better. I hope it doesn’t break or wear down. It’s a really really great investment. I do have the non heated one, I pivoted for that one first due to price. I do like that razor but this heated one is life changing.

After less than a year of use, the razor discharges after 2 shaves. Earlier it used to last one week. Is there a way to get better performance from battety - battery replacement etc. ??

This thing gives the closest and most comfortable shave i've ever had hands down. The heated bar is a welcome addition with every shave session made more pleasant- not sure if it opens up follicles more but it certainly feels like it's helping! Charge can go quick if you're looking to tend to any areas other than your face but it lasts reasonably long, most days i don't need to worry about it but occasionally in longer sessions it has died on me. Overall, the phillips heated razor makes for a truly comfortable and close shave. Also looks pretty sleek on my bathroom countertop!
