Works perfectly and easy to operate and read

I should have bought one years ago!! No more guessing about the salt level in my pond! This is amazing! Now I can add the right amount of salt for algae control or for medicinal use! So nice to have the guess work gone!!!

Very easy to use. As far as I can tell it is accurate. I have not tested the salinity in my pond with another meter independently, however, I have used liquid testing kits and gotten approximately the same results as this digital meter, and as the salinity has decreased with water changes proximate to the ratio of added water the salinity reading on this meter along with with the then amount of salt that I am adding to bring my levels back up remain consistent- making me comfortable with the figures presented with this meter. It is so much easier that liquid test kits requiring counting out droplets of chemicals and analysis of color to determine if you need to adjust your salt levels. It's so much nicer to have a firm number to look at within a few seconds. I had been putting off this purchase for years due to the cost, but it is worth every penny.

I believe it works pond salinity was practically nil but fish are fine this whole time without it so I’m in a dilemma whether to add any at all

I researched other methods for measuring the salt concentration of my koi pond, but I felt all of them would not be accurate at low levels (2 to 3 ppt). As a retired lab technologist, the first thing I did was prepare a standard solution. Luckily, I have access to accurate measuring devices. I quickly made up a 3.3 ppt salt solution and then proceeded to measure it with the Salinity Meter. Much to my surprise and relief, iy measured exactly 3.3 ppt. Great meter.

Needed a good quality saline meter for my koi pond. A bit pricier than others, but it was worth it. Works great, easy to read and readings are accurate
