This is a solid utilitarian bookcase. It’s nothing fancy to write home about, but it has a decent finish that doesn’t leave it lookinglike cheap particleboard. It was easy to assemble by myself. All of the parts were there, including the tiedown strap to keep it from tipping over. It wasn’t so heavy that I couldn’t tip it up by myself after assembling it on the floor. Because it’s a basic design, it’s a good background piece that doesn’t call attention to itself when you’re trying to display items you’d like to look at. Holds a collection of books quite well.

This was a very good purchase and worth the money. The instructions were very clear and I was able to get it put together within a couple hours. I have had this bookcase for many months now and it is very sturdy and has not started bowing from the weight of my books. Overall, I would definitely purchase this again.

I have at least 50 creative writing books to which I needed ready access. This bookshelf is well constructed. The manufacturer really made the effort to make this bookshelf very sturdy. It looks great too. It's solid and holds a lot of weight. Also, I was pleased with how I could assemble it quickly.

Package arrived in perfect condition. Installation was quick and easy with clear instructions—no big tools required. All parts were labeled correctly, screws aligned well, and nothing was missing. The cabinet has 5 shelves, 4 of which are adjustable, making it very practical. The color is exactly as shown in the pictures. This is my third purchase from Bush Furniture on Amazon, and once again the quality is excellent. Their products hold up well over time, which is why I keep coming back.

I spent hours and hours looking for office furniture that looked good, would be hopefully durable, easy to assemble, and fit my space requirements. Unfortunately, some of these are hard to determine without having hands on - something that just isn't an option for these bigger items. In any case, I bought this with a matching set that included this, a file cabinet, a smaller box type shelf, and a full L shaped desk with hutch. This fit in perfectly with the set and looked great once assembled. Overall, the product was fairly easy to assemble and came well packed. The wood is a standard particle board for most pieces. All you need for assembly on all of these different furniture pieces is a philips screwdriver and a hammer. I would recommend also having a partner to help assemble as some of the pieces can be a bit big. This cabinet was super fast assembly and decent enough durability. It requires a lot of nails to get the back on securely. It is nice since four of the five shelves can be adjusted to many different heights. As with any shelving, you want to put the heavier stuff on bottom, but this shelf is pretty sturdy on its own. Overall, the quality is better than the light IKEA type of furniture, but less than a high quality solid wood build. I would recommend it and haven't had any problems with it after using it day in and out for several months.

I purchased this to go along with the desk I purchased. Having put the desk together first, this was much easier! It is perfect for my office and has done very well in a carpeted room. Do be aware that the very top of the bookcase is labeled as not for anything to be placed on, which isn't a problem for me, but I hadn't seen that mentioned in the description. The only tricky part in the assembly was attaching the "backing", as the nails are so tiny, but I had to just be extra careful. I'm very glad I purchased the matching bookcase!

I am very dissatisfied with this product purchase. Unlike the advertisement that described it as high quality, the actual quality is extremely poor. I bought it expecting good craftsmanship despite the high price, but it is terrible. A $54 bookshelf from Walmart would probably be better. The corners are chipped in several places, making it look ugly, and even some small parts (such as nails) were missing. Delivery also took more than two weeks, and the size was smaller than shown in the photos. The advertisement is misleading, and the item was covered in dust and very dirty when it arrived. I’ve bought many bookshelves before, but I’ve never seen one so dusty and filthy that it required such extensive cleaning. I plan to return it. Although it’s a large item and returning it will be difficult, I cannot keep such a poor-quality product at this high price. This is a very bad company and feels almost like a scam. I believe such a company should be removed from the market.
