RED Velvet Fabric 45" Wide by The Yard

This is exactly what we ordered, and needed! Strong, not strechy, and a nicely colored velvet. We used it to strech over the frame of several props to fill the negative space with a beautiful fabric.

It was perfect for sewing a bag I needed to sew. High quality!

I was actually very happy with the product, it came faster than it said it would, and it is very heavy and soft. I must add though the was two pea size drops of something on it, but is is very hard to see so I am not concerned. Over all I love it and am happy that I got it.

Sorry I couldn't use this fabric it was not of good quality every time I tried to sew it the edges would shread no matter what I did i finely have up after cutting my pattern three times and had to throw them out.

All of the velvet I bought from this company had to be returned. We bought it for photgraphic backgrounds for jewelry and crystals. It was labeled "medium weight" but it was very thin, wrinkly, and cheap looking. The fabric had lots of threads ready to unravel or snag and had a strange texture - almost see-through in some areas. I had bought a piece of gold stretch velvet from another company and it was gorgeous! I bought 5 others from this company and it was unusable.

The fabric is lovely although quite thin. The color is beautiful, nice rich scarlet red. My original purchase met a bit of a snag. I was disappointed but decided not to complain. The seller asked about my purchase and then I mentioned my disappointment. Once the seller heard my experience, they followed up with wonderful customer service and did all they could to rectify the issues. The gesture was very much appreciated. I believe in proper customer service.

I ordered a yard of Dark Forest Green and a yard of the Red Velvelt on Oct. 5, 2012. First time ordering fabric through Amazon, and I read the reviews for The Fabric Exchange's products before ordering. For my purposes, since I am not using the yard in one piece for either the green or the red, slight imperfections were ok (as mentioned in one of the reviews). Within a timely manner the Dark Forest Green arrived and was in great condition, no noticable imperfections, acceptable color (though almost black, you have to hold it to see the green in the sheen of the nap). Again, for my purposes, this is fine. The package the green arrived in also contained the labels for both the green and the red velvet, so clearly someone was conscious enough to put both labels in the package. Though only the green was in the package and there wouldn't have been enough room in the package for the red as well. (Small envelope - 6"X9", padded) I waited a fe days for the yard of red velvet to arrive, thinking it would come later, mailed seperately. It didn't. I called The Fabric Exchange to within a few days to ask about the yard of red velvet, spoke with someone and also left a voice mail. I was assured it was on its way. More than a week later, still no red velvet. Called again and was assured it was on its way. Called again, The Fabric Exchange staff indicated it was mailed out - but since it still hadn't arrived they would mail out another yard. I asked for a tracking number to be sent by email to me. They sent an email with a number, but no indication of the carrier that the package would be or was sent through. So I emailed them back and asked for that information. I am not sure I would purchase again from the Fabric Exchange after this. I truly believe the red velvet - when it arrives will be in great shape, with no imperfections or minor ones at the worse case scenario. Again for my purposes this is fine. I have a time frame for the fabric to arrive to get embroidery done on it by another business, so time is of the essence now.

Nice fabric would buy again!
