What a little gem!!
Bought a caravan with a battery but it seemed to be dead. Instead of assigning it to the tip we bought this charger and it is a genius. It is so small and plugs into the wall like a phone charger, it took about four days for light to turn from red to green and battery charged. I cannot recommend this highly enough, we are now away in the van with said battery and will bring it back home when holiday finished, plug it in and let it trickle away, BRILLIANT product.

Great peace of mind to have!
Havenโt actually used it yet, but after watching loads of videos about it I just knew I had to get one. It looks so reliable and well-made. Just knowing Iโve got this NOCO charger in my boot makes me feel way safer and prepared, especially for winter. Definitely worth having handy!

NOCO 1A battery charger
NOTE: THIS IS A TRICKLE CHARGER THAT GIVES A 1A OUTPUT SO THE BIGGER YOUR BATTERY, THE LONGER IT WILL TAKE TO CHARGE. IT DOES CHARGE BATTERIES OVER 30AH BUT IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO DO SO. I bought this product because my existing Trickle Charger couldn't recognise a battery that had less than 3% charge and, apparently my battery had fully discharged due to not being used a number of weeks during winter months. I decided to buy a product that promised to charge a dead battery so that if there was no remaining charge at all, I could get it going. My current charger can get my battery up to 100% in around 28 hours due to being Trickle fed rather han high voltage, so was happy to have similar. I expected this one to operate similarly but with the added benefit of recognising a battery with less than 3% charge. The packaging is great. Amazon delivered it without any outer box to hide the product, but it has a sturdy box so wasn't too bothered by having extra packaging. The product itself seems very well made, not at all flimsy and was easy to understand what to do. I so far have it going and thought perhaps it would need to be put on force charge as I believed it to be fully dead, but for some reason, it wasn't working for me, no matter how many times I tried to use that setting by pressing the button for the required 5 seconds. But it appears to be working just on 12v setting, so must have had at least 1% left. Initially I wasn't certain it was on standby mode, as it looked like an orange light from certain angles, but looks red from another. But it is charging, so don't despair if you see a pulsing light and not much else for some time, it is charging. It has a reddish light that's slowly pulsing off and on. If on standby it would just be a solid orange, no charge. I left it for a few days (note: my battery was almost completely discharged so a top up will take far less time) and it's now pulsing green, so it's almost done. I'd have liked to have some kind of indicator of a percentage or amount of charge its up to, just so it's clear its doing something, but it does what it's meant to. I hadn't realised when buying it that it was made for up to 30AH batteries, which excludes most car batteries, yet the description said nothing about this. Reading up on it though, it *can* charge batteries over 30AH, it's just going to take a longer time. So I would say that, if you're wanting to charge a car battery fast, that you get jump leads and ask a neighbour to jump start your car. Or, buy a bigger charger, from 2A upwards, that gives a greater output charge, thus reducing the time it will take. For me, I'm in no rush so I shall just continue using a Trickle Charger and I'm more than happy with this product.

Really quite impressed
Bought this item due to its popularity, good reviews, and its cost. Was a bit of a stab in the dark. But, I really am impressed with its ease of use and performance. With regards to the charging lights, there's only 4 different light sequences which keep it nice and easy to understand. Keeps my battery charged full throughout the winter evenings. Plus, you can keep it connected the whole time and just leave it, as it keeps the battery at 100% without overcharging it. A nice, compact bit of kit. Was quite surprised with how small it is, but it packs quite a good punch. Another cool thing I like, is that you can remove the clamps from the wires, and then just directly screw the metal rings onto the battery and leave it on. So when you want to charge, just plug it into the plastic socket at the other end of the wire. Makes it so much simpler to use. Overall, really happy. Been recommending to all my biker friends.

Managed 3 years then died...
REVISING MY REVIEW : 3 years down the line, it's packed up, whereas my original Optimate from 15 years ago is still going strong. I guess it's a case of the old adage - buy cheap, buy twice :( For fairness, here was my original review : Cracking value for money when you think of the range of battery types this can maintain. Bought to trickle-charge a motorbike on a LiFePo4 but also to double up and maintain another vehicle on a sealed acid. Obviously at 1A rating this is really just a trickle charge, so if you're after something to charge a battery from low to full in a short as space as possible, pick one of the higher rated versions, but for me needs this was perfect and so much cheaper than the equivalent Optimate. Some useful facts that were not obvious until it arrived, that might help some people not waste money on additional accessories : - It comes with 2 metres of cable so your battery needs to be within 2-and-a-bit metres of a wall socket - On the end of that cable is a Noco-proprietary connector - The unit then comes with some crocodile clips that plug in to this connector (on a short additional section of wire) to clip directly on a battery - If you want to hard-wire the unit into a motorcycle, the crocodile clips include eyelet terminals so you can unscrew the crocodile clips, and you're left with simple ring terminals to screw onto a battery semi-permanently. So if you're looking to buy this for a bike, there's no need to buy any additional cable/adapter if you're happy with this arrangement. - Selection of battery type is manual by a simple button-press, that cycles around the 3 options (convential 12v lead, 12v AGM, 12v Lithium). 6v and force-charge options are initiated with long button-presses.

Great little charger
Worked perfectly for me during winter. Z4 sits in the garage during winter, so left it on a trickle charge.

Easy to use
Battery on my caravan had dropped over winter slightly and hadn't got enough charge to use the motor mover. Put the battery on charge for 48hrs and it was fully charged. Great bit of kit would recommend

Waste of money
It failed to charge what was a nearly fully charged 6v battery from my classic car. 48 hours it was left on and it didn't reach fully charged. I stupidly didn't try it when I first purchased it so it is now out of the return date and absolutely no response from the seller even though it is supposed to have a 3 year warranty. Do not waste your money.

Watch out for 2nd user items from Amazon..
I ordered 5 units, but only 2 came in sealed packaging. One was used before, so it looked like a return. Other than that they all work fine.
