Is this refined? What is the difference between refind and not refined?

The difference between refined and not refined has to do with the oil content. Although it isn't mentioned on the box, I'm pretty sure this wax is fully refined. It's a USA product. I use it to make pillar candles and have had good results.

Why does my candle sink in the middle when it is hardened?

Just about all things expand when they heat up. To melt your wax you have to heat it. So it is expanded when you pour. Then it cools and shrinks. Due to how it insulates itself, it doesn't shrink evenly so you get a dent. To fix this just pour your candles mostly full and once they cool top them off.
