NG ROCK GUIDE
This s great, portable resource for amateur rockhounds. I definitely recommend it. Many nice, bright pictures and from a reputable source. I would definitely recommend this!!

good summary, bad odor
very good book for a summary of rocks and minerals. With that said, the book smells horrible! The chemical odor made me ill. I am placing it outside for now, in hopes of ridding its disgusting scent.

Nice little book
I obtained some rocks while on vacation or my nine year old grandson. As he is quite inquisitive, I ordered this book to help him identify what kind of rocks they are. Is book is basic, but works for a 9 year old budding rock hound. I gave it all to him last night...he was so excited! The book is "basic" and would work as long as you don't want intricate details. The pictures are good and easy to compare to rocks you may have. I would recommend.

Love Stones
I dunno why youre buying it... What I can say is this... Photos are beautiful, informative, lots of different stones. I love geology, geography and all that stuff.. like getting ideas for writing and drawing. What can I say? Yes, I have drawn rocks in ballpoint pen so I learn the sense of stones. Crazy right?
