The Supernatural Ways of Royalty: Discovering Your Rights and Privileges of Being a Son or Daughter of God Review: Enjoy -- You Will Be Blessed to Be A Blessing! - In the interest of full disclosure, know that I'm a "long-distance" student at the Bethel School and have completed half of the first-year course of study. Kris Vallotton is one of my favorite instructors. He's insightful, articulate, authentic, and transparent, even when led to use comical or less than flattering examples from his own life to illustrate a point. He's a teacher who draws from a balance between time spent in the Word -- God's Truth -- and time spent listening to the what the Spirit is saying -- God's Spirit sent to lead us into all truth. Test the spirits behind this book against your own knowledge of scripture, ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment and instruct you, and be open to "expanding the cords of your tent" to deepen your perspective on truth. The Supernatural Ways of Royalty focuses on who we are in Christ and how we might walk out our God-given identities and destinies. The target audience is primarily believers, especially those who struggle with issues of insignificance or feeling invisible, but anyone in this battle could benefit from the godly wisdom the author shares. This book was exactly what was needed to propel me to the next level in relationships with God, family, friends, and others. I find its lessons continue to free me and open up a truer perspective on God's plans and purposes for my life -- that I would leave this world having learned to release the love of the Father and looking back on the legacy of a life well-lived. Just to give you a hint of the book's flavor, here are a few favorite nuggets: Chapter 1: The Plight of Pauperhood -- "A pauper is born into insignificance. . . . Therefore, when he becomes a king, he is important to the world around him, but he still feels insignificant in the kingdom that lies within him. Subsequently, he doesn't watch his words or the way he carries himself. He ultimately destroys the very people he is called to lead." Chapter 3: Dungeons and Dragons -- "Some people spend their entire lives reacting to what they don't want to be instead of responding to the call of God on their lives." Prisoners vs. Captives [Isaiah 61:1] -- "Prisoners are people whom the judge sends to jail. It takes a court order from the Judge of Heaven to release them [from sin and unforgiveness]. . . . Captives are people who have been captured in battle and held as prisoners of war. These people . . . are instead bound by the lies they have believed." Chapter 6: Training for Reigning -- "We didn't want our children to live through the same hardships we had. We raised our family to be empowered rather than controlled. We taught them that their opinions were valuable. We accomplished this by listening." Chapter 7:Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? -- "God wants to renew our minds so that He can do our will. . . . [God will] restrain His strength for the sake of having a relationship with His children." Chapter 9: All the Way Down to the Top -- "The truth of God's grace humbles a man without degrading him and exalts a man without inflating him. . . . We enter the death chamber of baptism with a cross and exit with a crown. The crown is 'the likeness of His resurrection!'" Review: The "Prince and Pauper Test" in the back of the book is worth the purchase price itself. - From one not personally connected with Kris Vallotton and Bill Johnson or their ministry, here is a very positive review. I approach everything I read with a critical mind, and I came away from this book having been convinced of many things by Vallotton. The "Prince and Pauper Test" in the back of the book is worth the purchase price itself. In fact, that test was how I was first introduced to the book. A relative got the family all to sit down and take it together, and as we went through all eighty questions, skeptical me said, "This guy is spot on--at least 79 out of the 80." :) So I resolved to read the book. The Supernatural Ways of Royalty probes the mindset of the Christian to see how it lines up with our scriptural identity as a child of God. While not every interpretation of every scripture passage quoted is indubitable or beyond countervailing, I found little with which to take definite issue and much to wholeheartedly endorse. (It may be helpful for some to know I do not come from a charismatic background.) The text reads easily but also intellectually. It is permeated with anecdotes but not surfeited with them. In all respects, except the lack of many spaces between sentences which I assume to be the fault of the publisher, this book receives my hearty approval.

fantastic!
I bought this book last July while browsing amazon and it is the first book I've read by Kris. I was raised in a Christian home, sent to a Christian school and have attended church my entire life, yet I have never understand the nature of a good God. This book opened my eyes and heart to a God of love and relationship. To know that the God I serve wants to reign down his blessings on me has transformed my spiritual journey. I no longer carry the weight of judgement and condemnation of my failures with me. Kris showed me that I am free to walk victoriously knowing that God already has a place reserved for me at his table and it's been there since the day I was born. To walk in the light and love of a heavenly father whose deepest desire is an intimate relationship with me brings a whole new dimension to my life. This book had such an impact on me that I have since purchased eight additional copies to share with other people in my life. I've also gone on to read Kris' other books including his new book "Heavy Rain", each having deepened my desire to know the true nature of my Creator even more. I love Kris' passion for the heart of God, his sense of humor and his real life stories that he shares in all his books. He is a "down to earth" guy who is shining heaven from above, or as he says in his All Truth Is Not Created Equal sermon (which you can download from the ibethel website) "God didn't say to rise and reflect he said to rise and shine!". I can't wait for him to publish more!

This has absolutely transformed my life which has in turn made a huge difference to my family, friends and employees.

Maybe you're the scary guy that works out at the gym. The funny sarcastic guy making jokes at other people's expense. The guy that has no problem admitting he's a little rough around the edges because subconsciously he would rather be known as rough than have to take responsibility and change. Is respect something you can freely give or do people have to earn it? Do you focus and complain about the dents and wear on your walls or are you grateful and thankful and the beautiful home your live in? What if the home was you? If you're really hard on yourself this book will be difficult to read because it asks you to consider looking at yourself the way God sees you. Which can be really damn hard sometimes.
