Works incredibly well on my 22” Weber Kettle grill and using this for the lid doesn’t get in the way while I’m cooking. Super convenient, should’ve purchased or looked it into this thing YEARS ago!

I wish I had known this item was around 10 years ago! Where to set a hot kettle barbecue lid has been taxing in spite of Weber’s attempt to create an answer. The design this item offers is sound. It permits a secure place to set the lid. It is particularly useful to me because it sets the lid at a slightly higher mark which, for me, doesn’t stress my back. This is a critical benefit for me. The design and ease of use also lends itself to easy storage. It is not difficult to remove it from the kettle and put it on a hook in storageduring our rainy season. I can easily recommend this accessory for kettle barbecue - even an older one.

I purchased this as part of an effort to upgrade my standard 22” Weber kettle grill. It has proven to be a VERY useful addition. The hanger works exactly as expected, holding the lid and keeping it safely out of the way while working on or over the cooking service. Once done, it is easy to pick the lid up from the hanger and place it back to cover the grill. This is a fine and fairly inexpensive addition to any 22” Weber kettle grill that provides a much safer method to store the top while cooking. Highly recommended.

I like that the lid holder just clips on and it''s as easy as can be. Very nice gauge stainless, not flimsy. It saves me from having to get the lid hook to catch on the side of the grill. There are times I had to put the lid on the grass too. So now it's great. I do not know what took me so long to buy this. Also, the Weber cover still fits the grill with the new lid attachment.

Terrific addition to my Weber kettle grille.

Simply hang it from your Webber Kettle where you want the lid to hang, easy as pie. Can move it as needed since it is not a permanent attachment. Strong, Sturdy, and the lid slides in and out of it with ease. Very happy with this item.

First: Weber lids have a built-in hook. A bail (or lid holder) is a luxury, but it's a nice luxury to have! The Premium Webers have a built-in bail that works great, but not everyone has a Premium. Your only options to add one to a normal kettle are to either measure, drill, and pray you drilled right to install an OEM bail, or get a clip-on like this. In that regard, this is as good as you'll get for a cheap, easy-to-install option. I have one on my basic kettle and it's been working fine. There are two main downsides: First, the clips that hold it to the bowl of the kettle are pretty thin and I've had them bend from the weight of the lid. I bend them back and it's fine, not great. Second, the bail is just bare stainless steel. The Weber version has plastic rollers to protect the lid when popping it on the bail, but this one it's just steel rubbing against painted steel. I see this wearing off my lid's finish down the line. It was a cheap kettle, so I'm not losing any sleep over it, but if it's going on a nice kettle, expect some finish wear down the line. I recommend it, if you're looking for a quick and low-effort solution to better hanging your kettle lids on a grill that doesn't need to be a flawless porch queen.
