Global Babies

One of my toddler’s favorite books! Babies and toddlers love looking at pictures of other babies, and this book does so in a way that celebrates babies from many different cultures. I also love how short the sentences are because it actually keeps my toddler’s attention. She can sit through the whole book without wiggling! This would be an excellent gift for a baby shower, and I think it is a must have for every baby’s book collection.

My one year old son is obsessed with this book. He picks this book every night before bed to read together. The photographs are bright, colorful, interesting, and beautiful. Definitely a hit in our family!

After we received this as a baby shower gift 9 years ago we are still purchasing it for baby shower after baby shower. The pictures are endearing, the quality enduring lots of baby handling, and we consider it an investment in the global perspective of a young person.

I bought this book for my daughter after visiting her daycare, and seeing one of the teachers read the related American Babies (A Global Fund for Children Book) (Global Fund for Children Books) book. I decided to go with Global Babies just to spice things up a bit in the costume department. Anyhow, what amazed me was how fascinated all of the daycare babies (ages 9 months - 1 year) were with the photos. 4 of these very young children crawled over and planted themselves on top of the teacher just staring intensely at the friendly faces. It's so rare for the children to demonstrate such focus, particularly all at the same time. There's something about the friendly baby faces in this book that they find fascinating. For the record, my daughter seems especially taken with the Greenland baby in his/her furry hood, the Indian baby with her big eyes and bright shirt, and the big-eyed Rwandan baby. The American baby seems to be her least favorite! I think her preferences have something to do with how big and bright their eyes look in the pictures.

Love this book! Super simple with absolutely beautiful pictures of babies from around the world. My 5 month old is obsessed with staring at the faces in the book, this is a book we grab off the shelf over and over!

My daughter is 9 months old. She has liked this book since she was 3 months old and has not gotten bored of it yet. She is absolutely fascinated by this book. She will spend 5-10 minutes just looking at all of the pictures of the babies. I will tell her all about the countries and culture of the babies that she is looking at, as the text is pretty basic and there is not much to say while she is looking at the pictures. It will calm her down when most things won't. I don't think that we would have made it through an 8 hour car trip without it.

this was a favorite book of my great nephew.

I have gifted this book many times at baby showers. I have heard back about how much the babies have loved the book. For one child, it was the book that could always stop her from crying! Beautiful phots

Great pictures about babies. Like they say there is 2 photos (as i can remember) for usa babies. Wish they put different nationality

This is a favourite book to gift to a new baby. I get positive feedback about how much the babies ( when a little older) love this book. Babies love faces and so they love this book. It is very well made and photographs are beautiful

I show this book every morning to my 7month old baby to introduce her to different babies in the world... and she really enjoys it... we greet them good morning every day... and sometimes she wants to kiss them good morning 😃 too...

Our two-year-old granddaughter can't get enough of this one. Such sweet babies.
