The Urantia Book: Discovering the Mysteries of God, the Universe, World History, Jesus, and Ourselves

I have been reading spiritual books for about fourteen years. There were four books published in the twentieth century that I would refer to as the foundation books..books that have spawned a plethora of authors dedicated to infiltrating the enlightenment market. Unfortunately these authors are regurgitating and reanimating ideas that are best left original. If you want to really open your mind to something different, something inspiring, something unique, and something deep and meaningful, than allow me to suggest these four original works. Get your hands on The Prophet (Kahlil Gibran), 1923; The Urantia Book, 1955; A Course In Miracles, 1975; and Conversations With God, Book One (Neale Donald Walsh), 1996. These are the core spiritual books of our last century and of these four, two are most unique, The Urantia Book and A Course In Miracles. It is the Authorship of these books that make them what they are. That "what" is not something I can describe..not without becoming like the authors who continue to barf out enlightenment crap of highly substandard quality. Own the originals! Of the four, The Urantia Book covers the widest range of subjects and is the most comprehensive. Each of the four cover a different aspect of spirituality, but The Urantia Book can be said to be more of a revelation (reveals more facts), as opposed to the other three (particularly A Course In Miracles) which are more enlightenment (show me the way) based. Yet, that is not to say that The Urantia Book cannot or may not be enlightening. It can be, and for many readers these facts help show the way more than mere idea based writings. I am particularly fond of The Urantia Book due to its scope. In five years I have read it two and three quarter times and I can safely say that I have only scratched the surface. The Urantia Book is both otherworldly and down to earth, both simple and sophisticated, both soothing and shaking, all the while as ever-changing as it is timeless. I can describe it using a thousand words and still not begin to describe it. There is nothing like it in print, that's for sure. It is great for readers who are searchers, who are looking for the next level of spirituality..and I might add that the next level is for those who want to get rid of their fear based ideas of their maker. One cannot hang on to their old ideas and appreciate this book. With that said, I would like to mention that this book requires both tremendous interest and patience. I found The Urantia Book to be one of the most rewarding books I have ever read, and I keep coming back to it again and again. I am forty five now and even though I am fairly young, for some reason I most appreciate the wisdom in this book, both in quantity and quality, I have not read anything that even comes close. I hope this review helps you save time trying to find valuable spiritual text and I think you will appreciate the originality of all four of the mentioned books. Enjoy! 2013 Update: As mentioned above the Urantia Book is and remains my all time favorite spiritual text. This is the only book in my collection of literature that since I first purchased it (around 1996) I have been coming back to it non stop, year after year. Pause to consider that this book is 2097 pages of small condensed print. For people who need a larger typeset, get the electronic edition where you can increase the font size to you liking. With so much information at hand, the Urantia Book takes a lot of time to read initially. It takes even more time (literally years) to peruse. It takes a lifetime to absorb to the extent one could state they possessed a comprehensive knowledge of a fair amount of the book. The Urantia Book is no trivial undertaking, it requires the utmost dedication to absorb. For the Urantia community of readers, I can safely say that for the majority of us, such dedication leads to a sincere humility for the unparalleled wisdom found within the papers of this unique book. I find it most disingenuous that numerous negative reviews will indicate a severe lack of thoroughness in absorption of the material in the Urantia Book. To give an honest review, one needs to familiarize themselves with at least some of the contents of the book. At the very least the reviewer should have read over a few times Part Four: The Life And Teachings Of Jesus There is a reason for this discrepancy. This book contains a very large amount of information that is unapologetic, politically incorrect, seemingly offensive, harsh, blatant, and brutally honest. The papers of the Urantia Book show only an importance for accuracy of transformation of knowledge without sympathy for the readers perspective, bias, bend, or educational upbringing. This for me is evidence of its authenticity and not the other way around. Another problem within the Urantia papers are the scientific claims, many of which cannot or will not be proven until some time in the future when our planetary science catches up, so to speak. The Urantia Book contains 196 papers all of which boast NO human authorship. This book is written from the perspective of a higher universe intelligence. That, in and of itself, will have skeptics trashing it right and left. However, upon reading the text with an open mind AND after reading it for several years (required for a simple somewhat worthy absorption) one may be inclined to wonder/ponder where this information originated. Those who disclaim it out of hand are doing a major disservice to their intellect and trashing any hope of gleaning wisdom from the jewels found within. The Urantia Book covers the most vast array of subject matter of any book I have read, spiritual or otherwise. Religion, Science, Philosophy, History, Geology, Evolution, Ethics, Morality, Culture are all covered and more, not to mention many aspects of each of these mentioned fields of study. Regarding Religion alone are covered, Prayer, Angels, The Afterlife, Universe Government, Religious Leadership, Morality, Duty, Devotion, Faith, Will, Justice, Salvation, Jesus, The Apostles, World Religions, Past Religious Leaders, Religious Philosophy, and much, much more. This is THE book for seekers. If you have a spiritual/religious question, you stand a good chance of finding a Direct answer to that question somewhere in these papers. I have not been able to stop reading it since I started years ago and I cannot recommend it enough. The Urantia book works well for those with a mind for something very, very different--for those who are not satisfied with what this world has left us, spiritually, philosophically, and scientifically.

The Urantia Book is the most important information anyone can get their hands on today. Time is zeroing out in case you have not noticed. You really don't know who your are do you? . If you have always had spiritual grounding but your inner senses always questioned the programming in formalized religion or perhaps you have trouble conforming. You always felt different and wondered why the rest of the world does not get it, see it or feel it. Why can't everyone read minds? How can someone who genuinely wants to know the truth get the real truth fast, fast, faster....Fast like on steroids? I feel so manipulated by worldly religions I remind myself that they will be a part of the solution when young people start taking the Urantia Book along with them to church. Its the dogma of ignorance that forbids Christians to even read 'The Gospel of Thomas'. Which may be the most important gospel, and certainly a life saving Gospel in these times for any mortal human being. What the book says, and I'm going to get it to you right now, that there are parts and components inside you that you do not know about. Here it is again: THERE ARE ADDITIONAL PARTS INSIDE YOU THAT ARE NOT EXPLAINED IN OUR MODERN ERA, THEY ARE BASIC ACTUAL PARTS OF OUR SPIRITUAL ANATOMY THAT ARE REVEALED IN THIS BOOK. IT IS CREATOR BASED EXPLANATION OF HOW OUR WORLD WAS CREATED LOOKING FROM THE OTHER DIRECTION. LOOKING AT IT FROM THE STANDPOINT OF THE HEAVENLY HOSTS . THE MELCHIZEDEKS, THE MOST POWERFUL FIRST CREATED 'CREATURES' ARE 'SONS OF GOD'. You learn who is who in the framework of the organization of personalities throughout this Super Universe and then we are introduced to them. Because the end is that close. And there it is for you in a nut shell. . Jesus had his 7th bestowal as an incarnated creature of his realm here on Earth. That is when he completed the prerequisite requirements to take position as Sovereign of this Super Universe. If you are a Muslim or a Hindu, this book will not offend or change your religion. It will only add to you whatever good that you are. You will not find anyone shoving religion on you here. BUT THERE IS ONE THING YOU MUST DO, YOU MUST DECIDE IF YOU WANT AN ETERNAL CAREER OR NOT. IT IS NOT BY BLIND FAITH THAT YOU WOULD CHOOSE AN ETERNAL CAREER....THIS BOOK IS THE PLANTING OF SEED. The authors of the papers are very alive. And I feel that I have truly met them. It enriched my Bible life, it probably saved my life. Let me tell you a little secret...the rapture already took place last year, I have pictures. It's been determined that we all have eternal life. No one is damned....yes we need corrections......Hey ,here is another benefit, you can heal yourself once you get it all together with the information in this book. Well not by yourself, but you know how to do it. You know what you can ask for. Here is how they teach. They do it for you many times, then one day you say, I'll do this myself, and then you heal yourself, and then you're a grown up. BEFORE 'THE URANTIA BOOK' ,IF YOU WANTED SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT YOU HAD TO DO WHAT IS REFERRED TO FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS AS 'THE GREAT WORK' WHICH TAKES 20 YEARS OF SUBMISSION TO AN ARCHAIC SYSTEM OF SPIRITUAL AWAKENING. GRUELING MEDITATIONS, KABBALAH, FASTING ALONG WITH NUMEROUS SUBMISSIONS AND SURRENDERING OF SELF. IN THE END YOU SURRENDER TO YOUR OWN PROGRAMMING AND SELF JUDGEMENT WHERE YOU STAND BEFORE GOD, YOUR OWN PRE-PROGRAMMED ANTHROPOMORPHIC YAH VEY. WHO PUNISHES YOU. That is what the Urantia Book is about, it is the conversation....The book is not teaching us for the sake of knowing what is in the book for a later time. The contents of this book is very relevant for today's world. And for you to have a dialogue with them you must learn the language of the book. I THINK THAT THIS BOOK IS THE LANGUAGE AND TERMINOLOGY THEY WANT TO SHARE WITH US. . IT IS 'THE PLACE THAT JESUS WENT TO MAKE FOR'., 'I GO TO MAKE A PLACE FOR YOU'. HERE IT IS. AND IT IS VERY POWERFUL. AND THEY ARE REAL. No body dies ...and the light down the tunnel is only a trick to erase your mind so you don't know who you are when you find yourself in a new body reincarnated. THAT SYSTEM HAS BEEN ALL BUT EXTINGUISHED. There's not enough space for me to get into the language and transliterations of Bible diction on this and you may have been programmed by religion to scream 'reincarnation' does not exist. You know you are right.....the only reason it does not is because death does not exist. It is a fabrication of the divide. 'I am from before the divide.' remember he said that? The whole thing is over, the last acts are being played out right now. Read this book, and things will go much better for you in the times to come. It gives the reader power and engenders him with compassion for his fellow humans. This third dimension is so small a part of us compared to the multi-dimensional beings that we are. This book may easily be considered the book of the Melchizedeks, who Jesus is a Priest forever after. The Melchizedeks are a creature species who live on their own planet. And they are the first 'creature' ever brought into being. So that means they are inherently the first creatures brought into being in the time and space dimensions. They are wonderful, amazing creatures. A Melchizedek is so powerful that just one of them can change the direction of an entire planet. They are absolutely free creatures, and I hope you are lucky enough to meet one some day. Anyway you read the book and have your own experiences . The Exegeses Bible is the translation I use. It is a true transliteration along with corrected proper names . Grammar is corrected and all 'added text' has been removed. I find the other Bibles are not accurate and misrepresent the true meaning sometimes to the point to being opposite to the original script. It was not until I got this Exegeses Bible that I realized the difference. So read the Urantia Book, make a commitment to do a little every day. And once they see your commitment to meet every day with your book before you know it you will sense guides coming to tutor you while you read it. Eventually speaking to you in 'full sentences' and 'full explanations'. They communicate a lot 'pictorially'. Read it at the same time every day. The Urantia Book can never take the place of the Word of God.I find that I need both.. I have done the great work and maybe I did alright, I know I did because I met everyone. I'M TELLING YOU THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO 'THE GREAT WORK', YOU CAN READ THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE.

Fiction is, more often than not, the tool used to relay a message. Does not Yoda, grumpy and disheveled and living in humble quarters, not exemplify many characteristics of a Service-to-Other individual? He has quirks, is reluctant, and people can relate. He also has a key role in a crucial battle between Good and Evil, and ultimately has this satisfaction. So it is often, in the Service-to-Other orientation. How could real life have stated this more effectively? The essential battle that takes place in 3rd Density entities, which is their orientation decision to either work with others and be empathetic or to go for the self, is very well relayed. The Urantia Book is such a story, very expertly woven and influenced without a doubt by many entities who wished to see this story told. Read it and appreciate it, and do not consider it a fabrication but rather an artistic description of the facts."
